La calidad de la comida a bajado mucho y la variedad también, además te exigen pagar la bebida en el comedor entre otras cosas que no me gustaron, creo que no volveré a ese otel.
We had a great holiday, we requested a low floor and were given a lovely room on the 1st floor, the food was very good, if they had proper bacon at breakfast it would have been perfect, all the staff are very hard working especially in the restaurant and it was sunny the whole week, will definitely be back.
Excellent hotel, staff all do a great job, friendly and helpful. Good location, just a short walk to beach and shops. Highly recommend.
Lovely clean modern hotel, very helpful staff in all areas, good food and varied entertainment both day and night, lovely big room with amazing views towards the sea and the sunsets, comfortable beds and a nice big shower. Great spa circuit with sauna and steam as well as various jet massage.
I love this hotel and its the second time I have been and it won't be the last.
They location is great the staff are so friendly and the rooms are clean and ard very roomy food is great too.
I travelled solo this time and felt so safe and looked after.
I just love the whole experience
Well Done Sandos Monaco
We love the central location of Sandos Monaco short walk from Old Town ,New Town and also the beach, rooms are big and very clean Always a good variety of food .All staff are friendly and helpful .Judith in animation works hard to make sure everyone enjoys their stay .Entertainment most nights is very good. All good from check in to checking out.
La tranquilidad. El servicio en bares, comedor, limpieza, recepción y entretenimiento. La comida en general.
La máquina de cafés en el desayuno.
Cannot fault the rooms…but that’s where the good bit stops.
We booked a select club room which comes with extras like turn down service (no beds turned down during our stay of 6 nights just 2 chocolates left on the dressing table at night)
If you want your room servicing it’s not done unless you hang the tag on the door to request.
Select club lounge is not very inviting, the only upside is you can have premium label drinks on a help yourself basis.
The dining room is not a 4* dining room (believe me we have been to many) and the food, especially breakfast, was mostly terrible to the point we missed breakfast totally the last few days. Not sure what the previous reviewers are used to but definitely not 4*
The staff are mostly pleasant but they develop their favourites, and if you’re not one of them you are ignored.
The Spa is a good experience but all in all I have stayed in much better 4* hotels.
Todo de 10
El trato con el personal fue excelente
Las camas son de un tres estrellas,la limpieza de habitaciones diarias justita y platos con resto de comida en los pasillos y entorno ascensores, vasos con resto de vino y botellas vacías.
The Sandos Monaco was the one and only 4star hotel (in the centro area) that we had not stayed at previously. Big reputations, big tariffs, high ratings and good recent reviews, result in very high expectations. I have been both a professional and amateur reviewer since 1985, and this particular trip was booked with Valentines Week in mind. So, we went absolutely top of the range with the whole deal.
Would be guests are spun the yarn that everything is absolutely five star. Well, I can tell you now, that it is NOT TRUE. There are some very contradictory standards.
LETS START WITH THE GOOD POINTS , which, in the main, are very good. The presentation of the whole hotel and its cleanliness, is impressive.
Our room which was very large had very comfortable double beds and all the extras you would expect, including flat screen TV, fridge, safe, decent balcony, air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, hair dryer etc etc. The room was cleaned each day, whatever time we left the room. Obviously a big thumbs up.
The restaurant operation. Being a very large hotel, meal times are a big operation. I am a very fussy eater, but I ate well every lunch time and dinner time. I would go as far to say that our Sunday Lunch was the best we have ever had in Benidorm. There were other occasions we felt there were one or two preparation issues (a feather or two with the chicken or the salmon being crispy and not fresh), but on the whole the hotel can fairly claim that their lunches and dinners are way above the Benidorm average.
The SPA/Wellness operation. It is very large and upon first glance rather spectacular. It really is. So many different water massage possibilities, Jacuzzi, steam room etc etc. All in very plush and impressive settings. Not cheap, but our booking included two free visits.
Very large daytime lounge area, that backs onto the pool area. Given the choice, all inclusive every time. Much quicker and good value.
Very large evening lounge. there was entertainment every evening. Also early evening session bingo on some days.
NEUTRAL POINTS.
Pool area. Really nice during the warmer weather. BUT during the two warm days, it was almost impossible to get a sunbed. Probably a cause for concern in JUNE, JULY and AUGUST. Although the beach is only a 10 minute walk away.
In-house Indian Restaurant. Our booking did include one meal, but this was not taken up. Have to say we did not hear anything negative about it.
DISAPPOINTING.
Reception. When we arrived the two reception members were involved in a lengthy personal discussion. Our check-in was wedged in between pauses in their conversation. Nothing really explained. Just given a sheet of paper that we needed to read. Very surprising.
SPECIAL GUEST BAR. This was also included in our booking. Yes it did have a really good selection of free premiums drinks, drought beer, hot drinks. But the snacks ???? Just a few, if any most of the time, tired looking small ham and cheese sandwiches. Even the decorative mini tomatoes looked well past their prime. It is a self service operation and unbelievably, on one of the days, nobody had noticed there were no saucers and this was not rectified until 5 in the afternoon.
BAD / VERY BAD. Obvious candidate is the breakfast operation, and in particular the cooked breakfast operation. I have reviewed over 100 benidorm hotels and I can honestly say that I have never seen fried eggs in such an awful state, and it was like this every morning. How hard can it be to produce a tray of decent condition fried eggs? They were hard, damaged and grossly over cooked. In any benidorm cafe, they would be returned. I am happy to down load a photo or two if required. I am afraid to say there were issues with the bacon each morning. The entire tray seemed to be stone cold every morning.
IN CONCLUSION. There is nothing in my review that is not factual. However, fairness dictates me say that the good points are spectacularly good. The good points also considerably out weigh the less than perfect points (which I would assume will be improved at some point).
THE 64 DOLLAR QUESTION. Would we stay again? There are enough really good points to give this another try if the deal was right. It is something we could look forward to.
De kamers, en de ligging.
De welness was in badkledij en niet echt hygiënisch, het eten viel echt tegen en het aanbod snacks is de naam niet waard.
