Positives
Friendly staff, all staff were absolutely lovely. I've never been to a hotel that ALL staff were so amazing.
Martha and JoJo at the entertainment were great. We don't usually engage with entertainment on holiday but these two make you feel so welcome that you want to join in with their games.
Remembered our names from the moment they meet us too, honestly they are great!
Room was very big and very clean.
Also very quiet which was brilliant.
Food was amazing, I'm fussy and a vegetarian so I wasn't expecting to eat as much as I did.
Each meal was beautiful, was lots of choice and the cakes were delicious.
Negatives
I think they could make it a bit easier to get drinks from the bar.
Often the doors were not open or no staff to get a drink.
I will put this down to it being out of season though.
You could pour your own soft drinks, juices, coffee, wine, sangria and beer (beer was hard to pour well).
Overall would highly recommend, even if you don't like sports. If you do like sports then you will love it even more as the facilities looked great.
Lovely experience for me and my family. All the staff are amazing especially Jojo and Marta who went above and beyond for kids and adults activities in the hotel.
Decent food and drinks, a very personal and pleasant experience overall. The hotel is very quiet and comfortable. Out plane was delay and the staff offered us to take some food into our hotel room understanding that we had little kids. It was a very thoughtful gesture from the team.
The hotel is in a nice location and about 15/20mn from the beach. If you are driving be careful with the narrow streets.
It is close the a football pitch where locals and holiday makers play friendly matches and it is lovely to watch.
At the hotel: you will get given a bracelet to wear to show you are a guest
Rooms: they actually apartments, very clean and i couldn't find a single fault. They had the best towels EVER.
Breakfast: plentiful and lot of varieties. You can spend the whole morning eating.
Eating out: plenty of restaurants to choose from ana portions are big enough if you are not a big eater.
It was our second time back. We arrived early approx 10.30am and was given a room statigjt away. We love the apartment style rooms. Big bright and clean. Cleaners come everyday.
The restaurant staff are amazing, so kind amd always making a fuss of our little boy. Lots of choice for food and always lots of fruit.
Although our little boy is only two, the entertainment staff let us join in the kids club with us with him. Matha and JoJo always made a fuss of him whenever they saw him.
Yes the pool is cold.. but once you are in not bad.
Local beach is 10 ish min walk . Its beaitiful the little bar let us leave the buggy there instead of having to bring it up and down the steps.
Shops and restaurants less than a 5 min walk.
Nothing negative about the hotel, would say some of the guests where rude and dropping food on floor and not picking up etc but was more towards the end of our stay.
We really enjoyed our time and look forward to coming back
Stayed here in August as a family group of 8. Warm welcome at reception on arrival. Was pleasantly surprised with size of room and amenities including a kitchen. Despite the mixed reviews we read before leaving the restaurant was very good. The staff were very helpful and the food variety was very good. I did have trouble getting a beer out of the self service tap but reverted to the white wine which was great. The pool area is a good size and my granddaughter loved it. I did encounter one rude guest who removed all our towels whilst we were at lunch and had the audacity the next day to disappear for a few hours with his towels left there….The entertainment staff work extremely hard and put a lot of energy into the activities. The hotel is in a great location with the stunning beach a 15 minute stroll away. Overall we all thoroughly enjoyed and wouldn’t hesitate recommending.
Me and my partner are not long back from 5 nights at this beautiful hotel. What an amazing stay we had. Clean, welcoming staff, good food and lovely location. We will definitely be back!
I stayed 12 days at this hotel. While the hotel is clean, the rooms are comfortable and most staff are friendly, there are serious problems that were reported several times but never solved.
Safety ignored: Glass was allowed around the pool with no control.
All-inclusive confusion: Drinks listed on the menu were refused without explanation.
Jacuzzi not working: Advertised as 35°C, but always cold. We reported it three times—no action, no feedback.
The staff tried to help but had no support from management. The real issue is the lack of responsibility and honest service from hotel management.
However, I want to sincerely thank the Animation Team—Marta, Jojo and Artur—for their kindness and friendliness toward us and especially our children. They truly made our stay better.
In summary: Beautiful place with potential, but poor management and misleading service ruined the experience.
My third visit to this hotel after I’d visited last May and September. I think this review will likely repeat a lot of what I’d said in the past 🙂
The apartment is lovely and a good size. It had everything I needed for my two weeks stay. I’ve previously said that some of the rooms make you feel like you’re living in the forest and I was delighted to have that experience again this time.
Sports facilities are very good here. You can do a lot of different sports at the hotel or just be inspired by seeing others do those sports! The only thing I’d say, and I don’t think this is owned by the hotel, is the gym should fix the floor for the outside lifting space where the squat racks are. That’s likely on the verge of becoming unsafe in some areas now. Not sure if it’s been damaged by weather or repeated barbell damage but it’s very uneven and damaged in a lot of places.
The staff are still lovely and very helpful, it was great to see so many familiar faces from my previous stays!
This was our first visit to Portugal and I don’t think we’ve ever felt so warmly welcomed whilst taking a holiday. The restaurant and entertainment staff in particular always had a friendly smile for us and went out of their way to treat our little girl as if one of their own - she would refer to mealtimes as “going to see her friends”.. special mention for Vanessa, her best friend during our stay. We work in hospitality ourselves and so we appreciate these little details, genuine service makes such a difference.
The rooms are huge and very well equipped (full, separate kitchen if self catering), the local area is very relaxed and there’s a stunning beach just 10 minutes away. Plenty of fitness facilities within the hotel if that is your thing and some nice scenery for strolls nearby if, like us, that’s more to your liking.
Thanks for having us, for making us feel so at home and maybe we’ll see you again next year!
We have just returned from a lovely stay at AP Victoria. We have had a lovely break. The hotel is very clean, rooms are spacious and very well equipped. The food is delicious with a good variety and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be returning, thank you x
Stayed for 9 days in October.
Our room was fine though the sofa beds aren't the comfiest but it was clean and spacious with a big balcony.
My daughter really enjoyed the food there was lots of salad, veg and she loved the puddings. Sometimes the food was cold which was a bit disappointing.
There was no kids club on when we there despite there being lots of kids. No mini disco and the kids club space that's advertised on the Jet2 website who we booked thru was never open the entire time we were there.
The kids pool was never really cleaned we often collected glasses of alcohol that had been left sitting by other guests they sometimes sat there for a couple of days.
There is no bar near the kids pool either so if you want drinks or snacks you have to go the main pool.
The reception staff were very nice and helpful. The bar staff sometimes seemed a bit annoyed when you asked for drinks not sure if it was just because it's near the end of the season and they are all tired but it put me off a bit.
I wouldn't say this is for kids but would be nice for couples and it has great gym/sport facilities.
From day one it has been an amazing holiday, with 3 generations it sometimes quite tricky to please everybody but with the help of the entertainers Jojo Marta,Arthur,Ella we was never short of fun things to do keeping them entertained.
Always plenty of different foods to try something for everyone, if there was a queue Sonia Patricia and team was always on top of it.
We were at the pool most days thank you to Ze' who kept it safe and tidy.in our apartment towels was replenished daily beds made and floors cleaned plenty of room with full kitchen equipment thank you to all the cleaners.
Reception team was always friendly and helpfull especially Pedro Framguimto.
We got a bus to albufeira for 2 euros return 20 mins away from hotel.
We booked an amazing boat trip from algarve Charters. The boat was called finismar,we also went to aquashow Waterpark 20 mins away on a uber recommend getting an uber app.
All in all a fun time had by all ages. Anyone who wasn't mentioned was amazing too,all of the staff was great all the females got a flower and sweet every now and again as we entered the food hall.
Thank you from Alison Grandma Daniel Kayleigh Amy and Frankie.
We stayed here in August as a family and I’d say it feels more like a 3-star hotel. Some parts are a bit run down – the splash pool had missing tiles and the sunbeds could’ve been cleaner.
Food-wise, the restaurant isn’t huge and options are limited, but what was there was decent. As a vegetarian, I had enough choice, and while there weren’t things like pizza or nuggets every night, it was nice that the kids tried different food. Drinks at the bar were great – especially the mojitos and iced lattes.
The splash pool for little ones was brilliant – quiet, safe, and meant we could relax while the kids played. The kids’ club, play area, and animation team were all really good too. The disco was fun but started at 8:30pm, which felt a bit late with small children, and being right next to the pool kept us on edge. The fitness facilities and running track were also good – my husband made the most of those.
Practical bits: you can’t use sunbeds or the pool until 9am, which felt a bit late for us as our children are early risers, but at least there was no stress of people reserving beds with towels. The only real annoyance was queuing for lunch – breakfast and dinner were fine. The hotel is in a quiet area with a couple of shops nearby but we weren’t planning on travelling too far with our children.
Overall, it’s a lovely place for families with young children. If the hotel was better maintained, it could easily feel like a 4-star. Our holiday was still great, the kids were happy and entertained, and the staff were brilliant so we can’t complain.
We had an excellent stay from start to finish. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was of a very high standard with plenty of choice we only ate out once all week. The football pitch, running track, and gym were fantastic for our family, and there was also plenty of entertainment around the pool.
The only small drawback was drinks being served in plastic cups; while understandable for safety, it would be nice to have an area with proper glasses. Overall, a brilliant stay and we will definitely return.
Good hotel. Food is pretty good. Staff are very friendly. Rooms are clean but basic snd noisy at night .Facilities are pretty good. Night time entertainment is ok. Suited for younger families
Firstly, the hotel pictures do not accurately show what the hotel looks like. I will attach the photos from the website and the photos I have taken during my stay. The photos on the website sell a much bigger pool and apartments. We were shocked when we saw the place in real life and this was a common theme of discussions when we met new people.
Secondly, the hotel check in is 4pm regardless of what time you arrive. The hotel or jet 2 did not inform us of this before we arrived. We arrived at 12pm to be told we cannot check in for 4 hours.. We travelled with a severely disabled 6 year old who wears nappies full time and a toddler who was throwing up in the taxi. They refused to let us check in early. I had to speak with management and become quite assertive for them to finally let me and my son into our room. They still refused to let my sister and her 2 year old son in their room even though he was being sick. They had to wait the full 4 hours.
Thirdly, the hotel takes on more guests than they have the capacity to cope with. Queues for the restaurant were around 40 minutes. Lunch time food was 12:30-2:30, if you missed this, you could not eat anything until the snack bar opened at 3pm. Food in the snack bar was never ready until around 3:45pm. The children in our party rarely ate at the restaurant as the only option for them was chicken nuggets. The food options were mainly fish, rice, vegetables and some days they’d have chicken. They also had lasagne and pasta dishes but they were caked in salt and not nice. Breakfast was the best as they had lots of fruit and pancakes.
The evening entertainment was enjoyable by the children. They had a disco every night and reptiles one night which meant my nephews got to hold spiders and snakes. The entertainment staff were super friendly and welcoming. This hotel sells a much better package online than it does in real life. I would definitely not return.
Great hotel and facilities, I highly recommend.
We had the best time at this hotel. As a family with 2 young children this was perfect. The staff really go the extra mile to make sure everyone is happy and well looked after. The entertainment staff in particular Martha, Jojo and Flora were full of fun and did a great job with all the kids. Mini discos, face painting, live music/dance shows and bird/reptile shows are all included for free which was great.
We went all inclusive and it was well worth it. Breakfast had sausages, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, pancakes and loads more.
Lunch and dinner would always have 2 different meats freshly grilled usually a fish and a chicken/turkey/beef steak. Pastas, potatoes, rice, chips, nuggets, loads of veg, salad bar, dessert bar, and loads of other things. It was great for our 2 kids to try different things.
Also, between lunch and dinner the snack bar outside did burgers, hot dogs and pizza which was a big hit.
Drinks were great too with red and white wine, super bock beer and cider all on tap in the restaurant for you to pour yourself. Also 7up and pepsi on draft for you to pour yourself. Slushies for the kids available too. If you order at the bar you can also get cocktails and spirits. They use Smirnoff as the vodka which suited me🙂
The rooms were spacious, clean and had a great balcony and the cleaning staff were brilliant.
Both pools were also very good.
About a 5 minute walk to a little square with restaurants and a couple shops and maybe a 10 minute walk to a stunning beach.
We will go back again in the future for sure.
It seems to be perfect but they keep changing the rules. It seems it’s ok for kids to put their hands into food that everyone has to eat. We now get to breakfast early before the kids get chance. We no longer eat in the hotel after breakfast especially after being sick the second evening from the evening meal. Some staff really nice others indifferent and some well that’s not for me to say. Considering it portrays to be 4 star I have to disagree when on an evening people are struggling to sit and relax with scant amount of tables to sit round so most have to resort to sitting on subbed. Entertainment is the usual holiday hotel fun, some singers and games for kids. I have seen queues form for dinner and not sure why and only the one bar and dependant in who is serving how big the queues become. Disappointed with what we hoped to be a week away relaxing as turned into a week away having to keep aware in case something else changes on the whim of whoever is working
