Elegant building located in the harbour area, close to the Plymouth arena. The hotel had good parking (although there was a charge) and the room was pleasant with an unsuited that included a bath (unusual these days!) Staff were helpful and polite and the hotel was well maintained. The room was good value, breakfast was very nice and it was easy to walk into town and the theatres.
The area was (it seems) close to the night life of Plymouth, and it was quite noisy all night!
Breakfast was excellent freshly cooked to order staff friendly and professional, beautiful clean crisp tablecloths.

No hot water to take a shower in the evening , it was hot for the morning
Unable to get a coffee from the bar after returning from an evening out after waiting some time , yes it was busy and there was only one member of staff serving in the bar (10.15pm)
As much as the building is impressive it is looking tired in some areas .

The view from our bedroom was a brick wall for the cost I would have expected better.
Also the girl who served us in the bar was surly snd rude she ignored people queuing at the bar while she slowly put cups away 😒 Also the girl in the dining room was surly and unfriendly. These things make a huge difference to your stay

Amazing facilities, every staff member was extremely nice, brilliant location, felt like I was in a £1000 hotel room. Kind of reluctant to post this in case too many people start coming and prices go up!
