Professionalism of staff, location.
Breakfast was delicious. But it was the same every day. I was there for six days. So I would’ve appreciated some different choices.
Excellent full Breakfast
Nothing
Stayed there with a large group of friends and it was epic. So good and so accommodating. Everything was excellent and for great value.
Very central
Smell of sewage in bathroom
Great location and parking
Bit expensive
I think it was Vivienne who checked us in. Couldn’t have been more accommodating. Very happy with our experience.
Nothing
Location, helpful staff, easy parking nearby, quiet.
All good.
We've written countless hotel reviews, but this is among the first where we recommend a specific room.
The Glasshouse Hotel is a dramatic modern structure sitting on the banks of the Garavogue River. While it is one of the shortest rivers in Ireland, the water runs swiftly along brick-lined banks. It is centrally located near the most attractive parts of town and easy to walk just about everywhere.
The hotel has parking below that costs something like 6 Euros a night. We appreciated the convenience.
Not surprisingly, the interior, like the exterior, is extremely modern.
We did a bit of a splurge here and booked the deluxe suite and we'd recommend that you do the same if your budget allows it. If you look at the exterior building you'll see that the top comes to a point on the sixth floor. We got the room under that point (#602) which was decorated in a chic style inspired by mid-century modern with lots of space, a wrap-around balcony, and spectacular views. The bathroom was large, with lots of white and sleek lines.
If that room is not available to you, that's probably fine, as most of the rooms appear to have good views of the river and town.
We got a window seat for breakfast and enjoyed watching the river rush by.
This is an architecturally fun structure that is also a nice and convenient hotel. We were very happy to have stayed here.
Fabulous stay i even told Tianya at front desk checking out the staff were so so nice food was fabulous best breakfast we've come across in ireland we travel a lot of weekends well worth returning to Sligo thank ye so much.
Good location
Had to pay for parking and for Americano at breakfast immediately when ordered. Breakfast was poor
The staff were brilliant…..the location is brilliant….its the best location in Sligo……
Excellent car park
Finding the car park was a bit of a lottery
Food in the main restaurant was expensive and limited…..but that said…Chorizo jam and the Crab toastie were a revelation…..
