Very nice pool, great breakfast and wonderful staff. Rudy was super helpful at breakfast. Great value for the price. Only giving just 4 stars because the facilities are a bit tired looking.
This review is for the restaurant…We celebrated my husband’s 75th birthday there. The food was tasty and well presented, cocktails perfect. I especially enjoyed the veggies with my sea bass. Our server Johnnatan was attentive, and provided a complimentary tiramisu with candle…Muchas gracias!
Excellent service specially that of Mirleny Calvo, she was very nice and keep smile all the time
What a scam!!!
They advertise as "free airport shuttle" and "free breakfast". But if you flight leaves before 9 a.m. - which most international flights do - you won't get either free airport shuttle or breakfast!
Most of the hotel has been very poorly maintained - it is no where close to what I expect from a Wyndham hotel
Dining at Quattro in the Wyndham Hotel with Jonathan as our server was an excellent experience. He was polite, gracious, kind, and fun. Thank you, Jonathan for the outstanding service!
Great place to stay, we had a great time. The staff is very kind and professional and the amenities are great.
Checked in last night because we fly out of SJO early. We tried to use of of the “5 hot tubs” and all of them were, in fact, very cold. We arrived for the shuttle at 6:00 exactly and they had already left, the staff at the hotel offered us no other help or alternative, which . We reserved the shuttle the night before and assumed that meant something, apparently not. Since we were already going to have to pay for an uber we decided to try the buffet. When we arrived, the buffet opened 10 minutes late and every pastry was as stale as a crouton. None of the rooms looked to be in good condition and the amenities were overhyped on the company’s website. 3/10 because the bed was comfortable, wouldn’t recommend that anyone stays here.
We had no hot water and they said they would fix it while we went to eat. No problem, till it was. When we returned my mom had to pee and the bathroom as now flooded with water running from under the sink. My mom fell and nobody cares. Actually the front desk was laughing at her. DO NOT STAY HERE
Old run down hotel
Not a 5 star hotel
Stay somewhere else
Stayed here before going back to airport the next morning . We stayed at the Fairfield when we arrived and was much cleaner and better maintained
Convenient to the airport, but possibly the worst hotel I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. It looks like it has not been touched since the 1960's and is on the verge of collapse. Long convoluted hallways make it difficult to find your room. All pools are missing more tiles than remain. The rooms are dark, dank, and all the fixtures in the bathroom were rusty (faucet, towel bars, etc). Thankfully we stayed only one night en route home because we would not shower here.
Visited the Quattro restaurant next door to the hotel. Great pizza and even better service by Johnnaton Calero.
First of all, there are some older carpets and random construction, but this place offers amazing value for the price. The gym is hardcore with real workout equipment and a lot of machines, freeweights, etc. So no lazy workouts on this trip! The food in the Quattro restaurant was amazing, I ate their twice. The pools are nice and big and pretty. There's a little roughness around the edges, and I would have liked a refrigerator in my room as I have insulin I need to keep cold, but overall I was really happy with my visit.
I threw my back out and booked a deep tissue massage at the hotel's spa. The masseuse Keren was excellent and has a background in physiotherapy - highly skilled and helped a lot. Recommended.
The hotel room was ok. We stayed here at the beginning of our trip and the end. The first night was horrible, room was dank and humid a/c did not work, but got in so late when trying to call for assistance the line was not in use. The room next to ours was used as the cleaning lady's retreat all night, door slamming as they entered and exited continually. The second time we stayed the room was great, much cleaner, seemed to be updated, we were treated better, recognized as a Wyndham owner even received complimentary cookies brought to our room.
Rooms need and update, curtins are falling down, carpet, bathroom. A new touch up would be great. The area where I stayed needs an upgrade.
This hotel was at the end of a tour group stay and although it’s very pretty on the outside and in the common areas, I found the rooms needing attention and updating quite a bit. There was no hot water our entire stay in any of our rooms even after asking the front desk if they could do something about it. Lukewarm showers only after running a lot of water that was wasted unfortunately. My room had a city view, and it was a very noisy, almost as if a window was open, but they weren’t.
Prices in the bar were quite high, but we were only there for one evening, so can’t comment on much more.
They will see you a King size room and then give you a hole with a Queen size bed and tell you to go f yourself.
We loved the decor and the big rooms and fridge. The hotel interior was great really quirky and interesting, the staff were helpful, we loved the pool and swim up bar.
We booked this hotel because of the gym, when we asked at reception what time the gym opened he told us 9am, we got there at 12.45 and after 15 minutes we were kicked out due to it closing at 1pm! This was never mentioned when we asked the time and we would have gone earlier; it was really disappointing as we wanted to use the gym and we got 10 minutes!
Great hotel and location and pool, check gym times carefully
The rooms were clean and air conditioned. This staff was pleasant. The only problem was the shower water was barely heated.
A nice place, clean & comfortable. The breakfast staff, Marine and Kenneth were wonderful, friendly & attentive, the reception desk not so much. Dylan and Carlos at the bar were also wonderful. A lot of road noise and not convenient if you’d want to walk anywhere.
