Rudy took excellent care of us and was very kind.
Great service. The room was very clean smelling good. Karina Ramirez was phenomenal and sweet at the coffee shop. Karina made my cappuccino excellent. She went above and beyond to get ice cream to prepare a Frappuccino for my daughter when there was not anymore.
It’s a great hotel and the service…
I had a very good experience at the italian restaurante the server Manuel Aguilar was so kind…
I really should have listened to the red flags in the recent reviews. I thought maybe people were just being picky, but unfortunately, my experience confirmed every single warning.
The Lowlights:
• Cleanliness is Non-Existent: The "grime" factor here is high. From the moment I stepped into the hallway, the carpets looked like they hadn't seen a vacuum in months. My room wasn't much better—hairs in the bathroom….
• The No-Hot-Water Surprise: This was the kicker. Management didn't say a word about it during check-in. I actually found out while I was standing at the front desk because another guest was (rightfully) losing their temper about it. Taking a cold shower in a dirty bathroom is a special kind of misery.
• Paper-Thin Walls: You will have zero privacy here. the plumbing is so loud it sounds like a waterfall in your own room every time the person next door turns on a tap.
• Deceptive Photos: The actual pool area was depressing; there wasn't a single lounge chair or place to sit and relax.
• Friendly staff, but it's not enough.
Bottom line: Save your money and stay literally anywhere else
I had the most incredible massage and facial treatment by Keren at the spa inside of the Wyndham San Jose. She is one of the best masseuses I have ever experienced. The whole atmosphere is incredibly relaxing and healing.
*Problem with the hot water on the room.
Mayor problem that need to be correct.
*In the other hand, the Service in the breakfast is excelent. Good meal and good Service
*Everything is clean. The Rooms, restaurant, and common area.
Gracias to Nelly Arias Salas para great service.
I’m very happy with my decision to stay at Wyndham San Jose Herradura Hotel & Convention Center, as the location is incredibly strategic and made it easy to access everything I needed during my stay; I especially loved the variety of amenities available, from getting my nails done at the salon where Yilian provided amazing and attentive service to enjoying a very well equipped gym, all of which made my experience comfortable, convenient, and truly enjoyable, and I would definitely stay here again.
A bizarre place, not 5 star, would struggle to be a 3 star. For those of you who know Fawlty Towers, it’s run as though Basil himself was in charge of training. We were checked in by 3 staff, one training and two offhand and dismissive. We didn’t get any guidance on the opening times of facilities or when and where breakfast was.
The pools are old and have numerous missing tiles. The wind whistles in the windows of the rooms. The rooms themselves are tired and desperately need renovation. Our 11 year old looked around and said,’Well this doesn’t look anything like the pictures on the website!’
There is no hot water- it runs lukewarm. Judging by reviews going back several months this is not a new problem. Honestly, just don’t bother.
I had the executive Lunch in the restaurant and it was great, our host was Jonathan and he is a very nice person.
Very nice pool, great breakfast and wonderful staff. Rudy was super helpful at breakfast. Great value for the price. Only giving just 4 stars because the facilities are a bit tired looking.
This review is for the restaurant…We celebrated my husband’s 75th birthday there. The food was tasty and well presented, cocktails perfect. I especially enjoyed the veggies with my sea bass. Our server Johnnatan was attentive, and provided a complimentary tiramisu with candle…Muchas gracias!
Excellent service specially that of Mirleny Calvo, she was very nice and keep smile all the time
What a scam!!!
They advertise as "free airport shuttle" and "free breakfast". But if you flight leaves before 9 a.m. - which most international flights do - you won't get either free airport shuttle or breakfast!
Most of the hotel has been very poorly maintained - it is no where close to what I expect from a Wyndham hotel
Dining at Quattro in the Wyndham Hotel with Jonathan as our server was an excellent experience. He was polite, gracious, kind, and fun. Thank you, Jonathan for the outstanding service!
Great place to stay, we had a great time. The staff is very kind and professional and the amenities are great.
Checked in last night because we fly out of SJO early. We tried to use of of the “5 hot tubs” and all of them were, in fact, very cold. We arrived for the shuttle at 6:00 exactly and they had already left, the staff at the hotel offered us no other help or alternative, which . We reserved the shuttle the night before and assumed that meant something, apparently not. Since we were already going to have to pay for an uber we decided to try the buffet. When we arrived, the buffet opened 10 minutes late and every pastry was as stale as a crouton. None of the rooms looked to be in good condition and the amenities were overhyped on the company’s website. 3/10 because the bed was comfortable, wouldn’t recommend that anyone stays here.
We had no hot water and they said they would fix it while we went to eat. No problem, till it was. When we returned my mom had to pee and the bathroom as now flooded with water running from under the sink. My mom fell and nobody cares. Actually the front desk was laughing at her. DO NOT STAY HERE
Old run down hotel
Not a 5 star hotel
Stay somewhere else
Stayed here before going back to airport the next morning . We stayed at the Fairfield when we arrived and was much cleaner and better maintained
Convenient to the airport, but possibly the worst hotel I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. It looks like it has not been touched since the 1960's and is on the verge of collapse. Long convoluted hallways make it difficult to find your room. All pools are missing more tiles than remain. The rooms are dark, dank, and all the fixtures in the bathroom were rusty (faucet, towel bars, etc). Thankfully we stayed only one night en route home because we would not shower here.
