Hotel Hanasaari

Da die Unterkunft sehr nahe an der Autobahn liegt, hört man den Straßenverkehr sehr laut.

Aus der Lüftung kommt kalte Luft, auch wenn die Klimaanlage abgedreht ist. Da es recht kalt und regnerisch war, als wir dort waren (12-18 Grad Celsius), war uns im Zimmer und im Hotel allgemein sehr kalt. Es wurde uns angebote in ein anderes Zimmer zu wechseln. Dort war der Luftstrom geringer, aber das Zimmer noch kälter. Grundsätzlich war im gesamten Hotel (Lobby, Frühstücksraum, Gym,…) der kalte Luftstrom aus der Lüftung spürbar. Daher sind wir bereits nach 2 von 4 bezahlten Nächten (in denen wir mit Mütze geschlafen haben) abgereist.

Aamupala ei ollut kummoinen. Suppea valikoima eikä laadukkaita raaka-aineita. Illallisella ravintolassa ei otettu huomioon tavallista erikoisruokavaliota ja ruoka oli todella suolaista.

Das Wetter.

Nicht gefallen hat uns, dass an einem Abend (war es Sonntagabend) wir kein Restaurant hatten. In so einem grossen Hotelkomplex, der eher ein bisschen ausserhalb der Stadt liegt, finden wir das komisch. Wir konnten dann an der Bar / Reception dann doch noch einen Skagentoast ordern, aber es ist halt nicht das Gleiche.

Hotel restaurant is available for celebrations. There was quite loud music and bass one night until about midnight, however hotel personnel provided us with earbuds on request. Pay attention that it can be a problem only if room window faces the restaurant, we had a great room overall but this was a small inconvenience.

Morning coffee could be a little better, maybe coffee machine could elevate it :)

Siisteys joltakin osin.

All personal bör kunna svenska, eftersom Hanaholmen är ett kulturcentrum för Sverige och Finland. En av receptionisterna hade mcket svaga kunskaper i svenska och detsamma gällde en av servitriserna. Den senare hade utländsk bakgrund, vilket är en förklaring.

After completing check-in, we left our luggage in our room and went to the restaurant for dinner. As soon as I entered, I told the staff that we were two people and would like to have dinner. I was directed to a small table by the wall in a rather cold and unwelcoming manner. I also noticed that no one offered a high chair for my daughter.

A waitress then came to our table and asked what we would like to drink. Since I am not a regular visitor and wasn't familiar with the drinks, I asked for the menu. After bringing the menu, no one came back to our table for about 20 minutes. When same person finally returned, the only comment was, "Sorry for the delay."

I ordered a cocktail and asked for some water for my daughter. Although I had already mentioned that we wanted to have dinner, I eventually had to ask for the food menu myself after waiting for around 20 minutes. To make matters worse, they brought my 2 years old daughter ice-cold water. If you are dining with small children, waiting 20 minutes just to receive a menu is particularly unpleasant and makes the experience unnecessarily stressful.

If it hadn't been close to my daughter's bedtime, I would have left the restaurant without eating. In fact, after that experience, I chose not to dine there again during the rest of our stay, apart from breakfast, which was included in the room rate.

I don't like making assumptions about people's intentions, but I have to admit that the waitress's attitude made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, as if I shouldn't have been there.

Die nicht geteilte Matratze des Doppelbettes, die jede eigene Bewegung auf den Mitschläfer überträgt und somit stört. Das Rührei beim Frühstück hat noch Luft nach oben, es ist blass, schmeckt nach nichts und sieht eher gekocht aus, als gebraten.
