OK stay, a lot could be improved
Pros:

I have just spent a week at Adriana Beach, a nice enough stay but a lot could be improved.

Check in was efficient with helpful friendly staff, followed by a ride in a golf buggy to our accommodation. The accommodation was alright - Block Q. Decent location and nice views from the balcony across the gardens. Can walk to the second, quieter pool in a minute across the grass, or a few minutes on the path. This end has the table service restaurants and a bar. Five minutes walk in the other direction is the main pool, main restaurant, reception, gym, spa & where the entertainment happens.

The beds, pillows & sofa were all very comfortable. As the week went on, we noticed a lot of minor issues with cleanliness - marks on the walls, floor felt gritty and dusty most of the time, bedside cupboards were not wiped at all, bathroom sink worktop not cleaned properly, few ants in the bathroom, grubby curtains. Nothing a good clean and coat of paint wouldn’t rectify. Mini fridge was old and rusty - really needs replacing, especially if marketing as four star. Towels changed every day but not great quality. Same can be said for the beach towels, can swap for clean anytime but very thin and worn out.

We were very disappointed with the standard of food here. The selection consisted of bread, cheese, salad, grilled meat/fish, plain pasta with a sauce, fries, rice dish, random vegetables and then maybe one casserole type dish or paella. Lunchtime at the main restaurant, pizza was also on offer. It didn’t seem that much thought had been put into how you would make a meal out of the different items on offer. Breakfast had a decent selection and the dessert table was quite good but repetitive also.

Main restaurant often had zero bowls, cups or glasses and took ages to get replenished. There was often a long wait for the tables to be cleaned in between guests even when it was busy. The poor chef on pizza duties couldn’t keep up with the demand, it really needed two chefs there so one could be making the pizzas and the other slicing and putting them out.

The snack area by the main restaurant had issues with little black flies swarming around the drinks machines. It really needed to be cleaned more regularly. Soft drinks machine was out of order from the Saturday until when we left.

The Grill restaurant was open for breakfast, lunch and snacks. Can book for evening meal via the app. The Celeiro bar open for drinks, and Celerio restaurant can be booked for evening meals also. Both restaurants and bar are seasonal, which we discovered on Sunday as they were closed. Would have been good to get a bit of notice about that as we only discovered this after breakfast. So many people arriving to get drinks and lunch to find them closed.

We were a bit concerned about the hygiene at the Celerio bar. The wasps were out of control, and on numerous occasions we were treated to a cocktail with an added ant in the glass! Halfway through the week a new bartender arrived and was complaining about the wasps and said he was going to have a thorough clean so they wouldn’t be so attracted to the spillages.

Every time we spoke to reception they were very helpful. Staff in the restaurant were a mixed bunch, some excellent, others looked like they didn’t want to be there. There was no rush to clear tables or replenish items on the buffet that had run out. A few of the bar staff were simply rude - one walked out to take a call on his mobile halfway through making me a drink and didn’t return for five minutes. The porters were all a happy bunch, and would all say hello and give a smile as they were going about their business driving around in the golf carts.

There was no door on the disabled toilet near reception, rendering it unusable for those who needed it - unless of course you don’t mind having a wee with people walking past.

We wouldn’t return to the resort again, I’d question the four star rating, the outdoor locations don’t compensate for the low standard of food & the need to refurbish.

Amazing resort - friendly staff, good food, facilities and stunning beach
Pros:

I would like to write a review of our stay. We love TUI and always book with them but long haul in summer. We have not been in Europe on holidays for a long time. We booked AP Adriana beach resort as last minute deal for half term. We travelled as family of 4 –(2 adults and 2 kids 10&13). We paid just under £3k for 7 nights of all inclusive.

Location / beach / entertainment:

About 50minutes from Faro airport and about 30 minutes from Albufeira.
Peaceful, not crowded, beautiful resort with lovely gardens. We were in D213 and D214 - top of the villa. We had 2 very spacious rooms with balconies and were able to lock the whole floor whilst having everyone together. The location was great – very close to the main area, restaurant, entertainment and pools. The resort is big and the other side of resort also has own pool, restaurant.

Great facilities to play bowls, volleyball, table tennis, tennis, golf, darts etc. The entertainment is great, we enjoyed aqua fitness, salsa dance, my son played football. You need €20 to borrow table tennis bat and ball. You can also hire what you need for golf and tennis, usually for two or three hours per $20 deposit.
Alsi, you need €10 deposit per beach towel. Bring cash 😊

The evening entertainment was great, there was always something going on – live music, competition in the theatre (my son won bottle of bubbly and sweets), Portuguese night, Elvis Presley etc.. The night entertainment is by hotel animators who are so talented! Great dancing, street dance, ballet and really entertaining shows.

This was their very busy week (Half term and also Down’s syndrome competition in Albufeira so many from around the worlds were staying here) but it did not feel crowded!

The beach is only a few minutes away (lovely walk through the garden, passing the sport facilities and also you can see a circuit trail on your way – good fun!) – you need your room swipe card to get through the gate. The beach is unreal (I am a huge beach lover and love great locations) – stretches of sandy beach, as the location is not crowded, you do not see crowds of people or hotel after hotel and that is what makes this location so special. People enjoyed hiking on the cliffs as well. There are steps going down, you can use sunloungers on the beach. Bring a Stanley as there are no facilities to get a drink.

We went to the sea every day, there are some fab waves and we swam a lot, we also swam in the pool. Little chilly to get in but still very enjoyable. We even got a tan. All in all, the pool and beach are fab. The beach is beautiful, you can walk from miles and do not forget to look for shells! We did 😊

Very friendly staff here! They smile a lot and nothing is an issue. Our rooms cleaned daily, towels changed daily and in general, kept it tidy. You get 2 large bottles of water when you arrive. You can refill and get drinks everywhere so no problem and also better for environment not to provide more bottles of water.

We used hotel transport (two euros return per person) to Albufeira for a day. Hotel also provided packed lunch (important when travelling when kids, just ask at the reception). It was great as we left at 9.30am and returned after 5pm. Lots to do in Albufeira – shopping, restaurants, time on the beach, walking up the cliff, seeing the marina…..we loved it but it is busy and also full of Irish bars, cheap places to eat etc which can be good but also may become loud and too busy. I also came to Portugal to eat local food so no steak pie or friend English for me 😊

Food:

We were not expecting such great selection of food! We love good food when on holiday and we really enjoyed food here. We ate once at al carte (the grill) and rest of the meals were in the buffet. Breakfast – great spread, always starting with glass or two of mimosa, smoked salmon, selection of cheeses and meat, fresh fruit, yoghurts, fresh bakery, fried breakfast etc etc. Great churros and pancakes.

Lunch - great selection of fresh salads, olives, cheeses, meats, fruit, cooked meals, seafood, pasta, pizza from the oven, nice desserts, selection of fruits – local oranges and lemons!

Dinner – again, great selection, so fresh, seafood, meats etc.. So so much to eat here – great vegetarian options too!

Food in between – snack bar before lunch and before dinner. Always something to eat and drink.

Good cocktails – I enjoyed sangrias, gin and tonic, Bailey’s. Good selection of mocktails for kids.

If you want nice holiday, make memories, whilst enjoying great location, beach, quality food and entertainment, then this is a place to book. I would love to come back!! I was looking at visiting in the summer but sadly the cost for 2 weeks is too high!

Much recommended, Portugal is beautiful and the food is gorgeous. We are back in rainy UK, tanned and full of nice memories! We will return here!!!!

Fab family holiday
Pros:

Had a wonderful holiday with the kids. The staff here are so lovely. Had an issue with the people in the room next door, kept me up til 4am rhe first night. Called and security were sent twice, but didn't solve the issue. Next day, sleep starved and a little aggy, I told reception I had to move room else I'd lose my sh*t with the people nxt door, and they moved me. Bit random our room was off the main complex, but was only a couple of minutes walk. Room was small for me and 2 kids, but comfortable. Entertainment was fun, albeit a little cheesey at times.
Buffet was great, no real complaints. Restaurants were amazing, and you can go as many times as you like, with an online booking, so, loved that.
Only real gripes were not enough bar staff, queued for up to 15 fi4 a drink, but was end of season tbf. But they were all happy and friendly, despite doing 12 hr shifts. And there was no iron available. Was told they had an ironing service, unnecessary for a couple of t shirts.
Pools were nice, but rather chilly in Oct.
Over all very happy with our stay and the staff really do make a massive effort ❤️

Disappointed and dirty
Pros:

Overall quite possibly the worst 4 star hotel.
On arrival to the hotel reception were pleasant and helpful,we got a golf buggy ride to our room. Our room was very basic no kettle in the room or refreshments apart from a bottle of water on the first day in the fridge it was never replaced. The cleanliness and decor of the room was a total let down marks down the walls where something has been spilt and not cleaned, mould on curtains and serve mould on the interior walls. Mould on the bathroom ceiling. The floor around the shower train is black and lifting. The floor for the whole room was filthy certainly didn’t appear to be swept or mopped every day.
We found it a let down that we had to pay for certain activities golf (which is €3 per person and €20 deposit, not looked after the course was extremely slippy and tired looking.) tennis and table tennis you also had to pay for.

Pool, there was NO life guards at any point in our stay which I think is absolutely disgusting just because you come out of season should be no reason to relax on safety.

Cleanliness of the hotel,so sad as I think this hotel has potential to be a lovely hotel but is tired and not looked after. The tables by the sunset bar were constantly filthy, glasses never collected. Glasses left out from the night before. Which I think is the reason for the amount of wasps around the tables.

Bar service, was absolutely atrocious to say it was out of season you were queuing 10+ minutes for a drink to be met by staff that looked like they did not want to be there or they would be on the telephone while serving you just point blank rude. Not welcoming what so ever. The pool bar by the grill was disgusting always dirty glasses left all over the bar lots of ants. We had numerous drinks where they had ants in or where the staff would quickly rinse a glass and give you it. The reception staff were helpful when we wanted to go to a market and helped book taxis and provide maps.

The main restaurant was such a let down, very similar foods every day. Constantly running low on cutlery or glasses and certain refreshments not being filled up. Again the staff didn’t look like they wanted to be there. Coffee machines inside the restaurant and outside the restaurant ALWAYS broken, coffee and milk streaming out all over the worktop. Never topped up with refreshments.

We had ants in the children’s bed I called reception and was told they would send housekeeping we waited 1 hour and heard nothing. We approached reception and was told they will come this was at 8pm. Still no housekeeping by 9.20pm. So had to call again for them to come for 9.40pm. The housekeeping changed the bedsheets and provided ant spray.

On departure it was heavy rainfall 7.15am we called reception to ask for a golf buggy ride(as we had two children) to reception was point blank told no it doesn’t start until 9am. Safe to say we felt extremely let down. Arrived at reception drenched. We wanted to speak with the manager before we left but there was nobody about until 9am.

Overall we still managed to have a lovely holiday,we visited the gypsy market in Loulé. Had some amazing food by Vilamoura marina. We did the indoor Aqua park which was worth every penny extremely clean and affordable. Dolphin and cave boat ride was amazing experience too.

Taxis,we used private taxis from reception however they are more expensive than an Uber.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone, unless your easily please by the very bare minimum and not to bothered about cleanliness and miserable staff.

Pleasant, family holiday. Would recommend
Pros:

You can tell the staff here work really hard. The dining experience is a busy one but tables are turned around and cleared very quickly. The whole place is spotless, even though the hotel has a lot of grounds they are kept very clean. Although the entertainment consisted of just the staff belonging to the hotel, it was very enjoyable and you could tell they were professionals. The food could have been a bit warmer. Drinks were fantastic, the beach stunning. Our room was cleaned, beds made and fresh towels daily. There isn't much in the area but for 2 euros each you can get a return bus trip into Vilamoura and Albufeira which was a nice option to have. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Needs improvement
Pros:

Room A211
Accommodation, our room for 2 Adults and a 9yr old was small but acceptable, with TV and small balcony, located very close to the pool meant no longs walks to hotel amenities but very noisy until 11.45pm every night. The shower tray drain was blocked which meant anymore than a very quick shower resulted in a flooded bathroom.
No tea or coffee facilities in room, 2 bottles of water upon arrival but never repeated.
Food, self service Breakfast Buffett cooked breakfast and choice of cold means cheeses and fruits, the restaurant is overwhelmed for long periods of the service, finding your own table is a challenge, often not cleaned and no cutlery set. The restaurant suffers from an absence of visible management and too few staff, the table cleaners/reset staff are poorly motivated. Both coffee and fruit juice machines run empty during service and are not replenished.
I love a cooked breakfast while on holiday but couldn’t bring myself to go through that ordeal for the last 3 mornings of our stay.
Lunch and Dinner in the main restaurant is a Buffett, The food is good standard for the price of the holiday paid but again the experience is ruined by the lack of clean set up tables. It was common to see customers wandering the restaurant looking for a table and having to race to beat others for a dirty table as the last guests were leaving it. Then have to wait 15 minutes for it to be reset but not cleaned.
The 3 Theme restaurants do greet you and seat guests at clean preset tables
The food is of a good standard for the price paid of the holiday.
Pool area, while the practice of towels on sun beds is evident it is easy to find beds in the less popular areas. The pool is good and has areas to accommodate all ages.
Beach, the quality of the beach is excellent it’s never ending and gently shelving into beautiful clear water.
Unfortunately it’s a 5 minute walk from the hotel on a little path which leads to near the cliff edge then nearly a hundred steps to access it from the cliff top. I’m not sure how any body who was not of normal fitness could use the steps.
Once on the beach there are no showers, toilets or drinks provided so this area is only for die hard beach lovers which is confirmed by the small amount of sun-beds available.
Entertainment, the in-house team work extremely hard and are highly motivated. They hold fitness and dance sessions and manage the night time entertainment. In addition there are musicians who entertain during the evening near the pool area.
Drinks both soft and alcoholic are free drinks available throughout the day and evening, however this can mean long que times at the bar as waiting on tables is not provided.
Summary, we paid £2200 for a week I found the hotel could move its rating from disappointing to good by addressing the issues highlighted in my review, I know the shower tray situation may have been addressed if brought to the attention of the hotel management but my other complaints are very obvious and reflect poorly on the management of this hotel not the staff.

Loud music in the evenings in the whole area
Pros:

Absolutely beautiful location, completely ruined most evenings with loud music that you can even hear walking on the beach. There is no need at all to pollute the entire surrounding beautiful area with bad hotel entertainment. Just turn the volume down so people who dont like it can get away from it.

Bad hotel be warned!
Pros:

Just arrived yesterday, so disappointed already. Couldn’t get towels for the pool until 10pm. So our daughter had to walk to our room soaking wet. The queue is always a long wait to get a drink from the bar. The food is so random in the buffet, nothing goes together to make a proper meal, like pineapple next to roast beef? No one can speak English so if you just want butter they don’t understand. The breakfast was cold. The tea and coffee machines have run out so no coffee this morning and no one to help. Our room has a huge bathroom but not much room in the bedroom. No mirror above the dressing table, luckily my straighteners have a long lead to reach to the one mirror near the door. The shower has one hook and is perfect if your 6ft!

Horrific from start to finish!
Pros:

This resort was single handily the worse resort I have ever stayed in, in my entire life!

First impressions filthy, they can’t even be bothered to keep the reception area clean and tidy! Crumbs and rubbish all over the floor. As you walk in a horrible smell hits you - I still can’t work out what it was but the whole resort stinks!

I don’t know how they get away with calling in a ‘beach resort’ yes there is a beach 10 minutes from the reception but you have to walk down 100 steps when you get there and there are no facilities down there at all. No drinks no food no service.

The bar smells so bad! Wasps and flys all over the pumps and drinks machines. We actually complained to the manager about the smell as it is stomach churning, she wasn’t bothered at all pretended she couldn’t smell it and said she would organise a deep clean. I’m pretty sure that never happened.

The floors, tables and chairs all around the bar and communal areas are a disgrace. Food, glasses, plates and rubbish everywhere. Plates and old food could be just sat on a table for hours on end the flys were unrelenting. When the tables were finally cleared there was no wiping down of the tables - and when I asked if the table could be wiped the numerous staff I asked all huffed and puffed and acted like I’d asked for something out of the ordinary.

The pool water was freezing cold. Actually really unpleasant.

The buffet was manic and again filthy, food and drinks spills everywhere, no one keeping on top of cleaning and tidying. I ate very little through this whole trip as I was genuinely worried about the hygiene levels. No one books you in and walks you to a seat so you can be walking around aimlessly looking for a table and when you do find a table it’s not clean and you have to beg for cutlery.

All the staff were awful, their attitude towards guests asking for anything was terrible. The bar was incredibly slow. On one morning I asked one member of staff in the buffet where the chocolate sauce was for my little boys pancakes and the attitude she gave me was unacceptable she pointed aggressively and spoke to me like I was stupid. Just so unnecessary.

Our room was ok but the shower tray overflowed every time someone had a shower.

While we were there it rained and the whole place was covered in black dirty foots prints just showcasing the lack of cleaning. I absolutely cannot recommend this hotel it was awful, filthy and all of the staff were not focused on cleaning or good customer service.

The restaurants where you had to book were awful and again the customer service was a joke. The Portuguese themed one was hard to get into and when we found our way in we were thrown out and made to walk around the building and use a different door. The portions were tiny and when we asked for some extras we were told no!

All in all a horrible experience !

Lots to do and oodles of space
Pros:

This report is written from the perspective of a retired couple on an all-inclusive basis who don’t necessarily need or want to engage with all the activities and options that are available on a resort of this type. The comments below will reflect this and as such are not a comprehensive review of the hotel, just comments on those aspects that we did engage with.
We arrived at 12:30pm, the welcome we received was very good and although we knew the hotel had a policy of not booking in until 3:00pm the lady that dealt with our booking simply said leave your bags and go for lunch and the room would be ready when you come back. Which it was.
In general, it must be said that the Front Desk staff were extremely helpful and dealt with all our questions etc in a professional and timely manner. Nothing was too much trouble; they organised taxis for us and gave guidance on where and when pickups would be ready. Also adjacent to the reception desk there was a large TV lounge, luggage store and the library all of which were kept very tidy and clean.
Our room on first appearance seemed a bit small but after some reorganisation was adequate. It included a large bathroom which had a hand basin, toilet and walk-in shower. The balcony was overlooking one of the green spaces. Prior to booking the holiday I had emailed the hotel asking if tea and coffee making facilities were available in the room and was told there were. However, there wasn’t. Upon speaking with reception we were given an electric kettle, it was suggested we could buy coffee in the local shop which was a 5-minute taxi ride. There were in fact hot drinks machines accessible outside of the restaurant that delivered reasonable quality drinks.
The food in the main restaurant was very good and varied. As one would expect there were options for vegetarians, children and a range of hot foods and salads that changed daily, pizza’s were available every lunchtime and were exceptionally tasty. A lot of fish dishes were available plus some other unusual options that we have never seen in a resort of this type before, a favourite was the lamb chops with some of the best mint sauce ever. There was also a good selection of bread, fruit and desserts.
The main restaurant was totally self-service including wines, beer, juices and soft drinks. This restaurant was quite spacious but noisy with options to eat either inside or outside. We did find the staff looking after the tables not particularly friendly or welcoming and spent too much time chattering amongst themselves.
The only negative we had about the food was that at breakfast (and other times) the “hot” food, IE eggs, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms were usually cold. We did take this up with the management who committed to check it out, but nothing seemed to change. It was suggested we try the GRILL restaurant for breakfast, but this was no different. We did point out that the provision of hot plates would help. Hot plate servers were available but not working!
The main bar provided a good range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks including some branded versions. There were times when this bar was understaffed, and people were queueing to be served.
We can’t comment on the outdoor pools, but the indoor one was kept clean and tidy, of a good size and surprisingly little used. The grounds were extensive with lots of grassy areas and mature trees. There was access to the beach off the resort via a set of steps, 94 in total, the sandy beach was lovely, wide, and clean.

Lovely Beach holiday
Pros:

The area of Falésia beach has long been our favourite but we decided to stay in the AP Adriana for the first time.
It’s really out in the sticks, which we love but an easy taxi ride to get to Vilamoura or Olhos da Água, or if you like walking as we do, it can be a lovely beach walk to either.
The hotel itself is spread out in beautifully maintained grounds, plenty of grass area with sun beds if you don’t like the noise at the main pool, can’t get a bed at the quiet pool, or don’t like sand on the beach!
That said the beach (roughly 100 steps down after going through the security gate and that means back up too!) has sun beds and parasols free to guests. They are chained together but there is a little manoeuvrability and beats lying on the sand.
The main areas for lobby, dining and external seating are pretty spacious and well appointed, the rooms (we had superior) are nicely done if minimalistic and we took our own travel kettle and coffee making equipment having heard they weren’t provided in the room, which we found most unusual!
The food in the main restaurant was very good, probably best salad bar and desserts bar we’ve had in an all inclusive. Main dishes were good, and reasonable variety.
The specialty restaurants were both good menus, and if you can get a table online booking, you can go as many times as you like. We went twice to both over two weeks.
The sunset bar staff were excellent and quick to remember your preferences.
All the staff were helpful, especially reception staff.
The animation team worked tirelessly and efficiently, our choice was aqua gym and the Latino dance classes.
Overall a brilliant stay, and I’m pretty sure we will be returning customers!
Thanks to all staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

Nice resort, but wouldn’t return.
Pros:

We went for a week as a family of 4. First of all, we paid for an upgrade to a “large superior room”, what was large or superior about it I’m not sure but we phoned reception to ask if it definitely was the correct room and they said it was. It was very standard sized and basic. There wasn’t even a kettle in the room which was a bit annoying when needing to heat baby formula. Secondly, ants kept appearing in our bathroom, I tried to call reception 4 times about it but they didn’t answer. The air con also wouldn’t turn on, and then turned itself on randomly and we couldn’t turn it off.

The food is nice but as with all buffets, gets repetitive after a while. We didn’t try the on-site restaurants. The drink selection was quite basic unless you upgraded to premium all inclusive.

The pool was nice and the kids pool and splash park were well enjoyed, although very cold as the pools aren’t heated. Loungers freely available and no rush to claim them.

The staff were friendly and approachable.

The beach is very pretty and a nice place to sit and watch the sunrise/sunset. If you don’t like heights, the wooden stairs down are a bit of a challenge.

We took the bus into Vilamoura one day and there are options of leave and return times, which you need to book the day before. Leave times were 9:30 or 11am and return was 4:30 and 7pm. We opted for 11am to 4:30 which was still quite a long day and fine if you’re going out for lunch and to sit in the bars but with young kids in tow to keep entertained, an earlier return would have been nice. There is taxis available but these cost more, we took a taxi into Albufeira old town which was about €16 each way.

Amazing entertainers and a really fun vacation
Pros:

The location is excellent, and the service is amazing. A really relaxing trip which I personally enjoyed. The entertainment was also on point, with great entertainers and dancers! The personel really made a big impact on how fun the trip was, always up to something, including dancing, games and events. So to sum it up, a really GREAT experience

Disappointed. The complex has so much potential, but fails on the simple things...
Pros:

I booked a short break for my wife and I at the Adriana Beach, to celebrate our birthdays. Having read the reviews, I felt confident that I had made a good choice. We have stayed at another hotel, local to this, but I wanted to experience a different place. Sadly, I made a mistake choosing the Adriana Beach.
First impressions were good. We arrived before our room was ready but were able to store our luggage and change into pool gear. We spent a couple of hours at the main pool, which was busy, with "entertainment" going on. Loud and boisterous, but we found sun loungers and started our holiday. Our room was available by 3.30pm and we received a lift to it by buggy (nice touch). The room, supposedly a large apartment (able to accommodate 4) was tiny. Fortunately, there were just two of us. I have no clue how 4 could be accommodated in the space available. The room was spotless, but had no kettle (I like a coffee first thing), the fridge was in the wardrobe so could not be opened without tilting it so the door cleared the wardrobe edge. On the first night, the full length mirror fell from the wall and could not be rehung.
Dining was an experience. The main restaurant was a scrum, with tables cleared but not restocked with cutlery, glasses etc,vso you had to try to locate these from other tables. The staff were slow and busy chatting to each other instead of getting their job done. There was litter and napkins strewn over the floor and staff simply ignored it. We used all 3 restaurants and the a la carte option was very good, the other two were poorly managed and failed at the basics. The grill was ok for breakfast, but again, staff were slow. The self service coffee machines were slow and a wait of 10 minutes in line was the norm. Every evening, the bars ran short of glasses. On both nights we used the bar, we had to be served drinks in glasses which were not suitable.
We were in block M, and there was an electrical clicking noise in the stairwell every night, from 3am, which woke us both and ensured a restless night. On the morning of our departure, there was no hot water for a shower.
Overall, a disappointment, especially as the complex has massive potential. A change of operational management would solve most of the issues but we will not return.

Smashin Hotel, Smashin Holiday!
Pros:

Amazing holiday & amazing hotel. We’ve had 5 days here this week & it was lovely. Food, rooms, entertainment & staff all absolutely 10/10. We would definitely come back & definitely recommend. The staff work extremely hard & they’re accommodating & couldn’t do enough for you. The entertainment staff especially absolutely pull it out the bag. We enjoyed the night time entertainment & went out 2 days on the €2 bus. Food 10/10 I’m a fussy eater & there was something for everybody & the drinks are all great. Gutted to be leaving Sunny Portugal & venturing back to the rainy UK.

One of the Best
Pros:

Deutsch: Wir waren bereits zum 4. Mal da. Fantastisches Hotel an spektakulärer Lage - Erholung pur!

English: This was our fourth time there. Fantastic hotel in a spectacular location—pure relaxation! Great food, great atmosphere, very clean, friendly, and welcoming (even the hotel cats are fed).

The entertainment team does an amazing job. You can tell they enjoy what they do—it's more than just a job. Very warm and talented people who work great as a team (they're like a family). This certainly has a very positive effect on the clientele, just good vibes - keep up the great work!

Couples Break September 2025
Pros:

Beautiful, well-attended grounds.

The dedicated team of staff should be commended - particularly catering and housekeeping for their exemplary work.

Although the entertainment wasn't our cup of tea, the animation staff were exuberant and went all-out to perform and include everyone in activities throughout the day.

I would echo other reviewers in making poolside smoke-free, as it's unpleasant and unhealthy as inconsiderate people chain-smoke while guests try to relax and enjoy a great setting.

The porters were helpful in ferrying us to and from our accommodation on a golf buggy on arrival and departure.

The beach was great and on our last evening we watched a wonderful sunset at Shark Fin Point.

We enjoyed our short stay very much and would happily return.
