Location was perfect, right in middle of town.staff friendly, room clean.
Lovely hotel - nice decor. Staff were friendly and helpful. Handy for shops and station.
Nothing
The location is fantastic and the first sight of the hotel is great in its Art Deco style. The reception is warm and welcoming and the staff friendly. The room was big and the bed gorgeous and comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and the shower fine. I had a couple of evening meals which were very nicely cooked and served.
The top spring on the bedroom door was so tight, it was very difficult to keep it open long enough to get any luggage into the room. And a minor gripe, at some point one of the cleaners must have opened the window using the key only they have but did not fully shut it so my last night was a bit cold.
Lovely clean modern comfortable hotel.
The outside is a bit rundown looking. But dont worry its lovely inside.
The hotel staff were all lovely from reception, to the restaurant to room service, greeting us with lovely smiles and helping us settle in. The room was a decent size for our stay, with a sea view which was absolutely beautiful to wake up to the sun rise and the ferry's leaving and coming in. The location is ideal for seeing more of Oban being a 3 min walk to Oban Distillery, ee-usk, piaza and 10mins to the ferry. There is a promenade accessible from the hotel front and the walk along towards the cathedral and corran hall is beautiful.
The buffet style food for breakfast could do with some improvement, keep it hot or offer cook to order.
Location was excellent, room was comfortable, staff were pleasant.
Breakfast was cold, hot plates weren't efficient, potato scones and hash browns not even in hotplate and were just left out to go cold, coffee just lukewarm, very limited cereal choice. Would be better to provide teaspoons rather than disposable wooden sticks. Room was comfortable enough but sheets were too small for the bed and duvet cover was too small for the duvet. Room was cleaned everyday but was just a quick make of the bed and emptying bins. Room was not hoovered or sheets changed and we were there 4 nights. Heated towel rail in bathroom did not work (reported to reception but nobody fixed it). Towels were only changed once. Small window had a blind but it was yellow and did not keep out the light.
We loved everything about the hotel, from the staff to the rooms.

The interior was really tastefully decorated and kitted out.
The exterior of the building needs a bit of TLC
Location
Needs a face lift on the outside
Perfect location, beautiful rooms and lovely staff
When we arrived I was a little hesitant as the outside of the hotel looks a bit tired, but when you go through into reception it’s really lovely.
The staff couldn’t be more helpful and friendly. The bed was very comfortable and it was lovely to have a view over the harbour. Breakfast was excellent
We booked the DBB option, but wish we hadn’t. The food just wasn’t very good. The batter on the fish was greasy and the fish was over-cooked. The casserole was tasteless. There are lots of eateries within walking distance and if we stay again we’ll eat out.
The front staff were lovely
There must have been something wrong with the system, as staff kept thinking the room was unoccupied (we had a man unlock the door - without knocking first - and come into the room while we were in bed)
Excellent hotel so clean friendly staff overall excellent stay
Great hotel very happy
Very clean staff very helpful room good size
Room a bit cold
Staff were great
Room was a little small and not renovated to a high standard
Clean and central
Parking
I booked the cosy single and was pleasantly surprised by the decor and look of the room. Very comfortable bed with desk, chair and TV. Breakfast was great ( I'm vegetarian and there were veggie sausages and haggis) with a wonderful sea view.
The shower room was tiny, but adequate for my needs.
