Laluna Hotel & Resort

Beautiful area very tropical, lovely large clean pool with plenty of sunbeds. Had one meal in the restaurant, nicely presented but not up to standard.

The staff were helpful, room was clean and spacious, swimming pool and resort amenities were pleasant and the breakfast was wonderful. I really enjoyed my stay and recommend it.

The mangement of this hotel is obviuosly penny pinching, 500Baht deposit for room key, list of cost of replaccement items if broken pasted on room door, breakfast tickets issued daily for breakfast, hugely expensive restaurant and drinks. Wifi password for only 1 device per room.
Otherwise good place - lovely pool set in jungle garden,comfortable rooms, breakfast good but dining room very hot and stuffy.
Hired a car for three days to get around the area (White temple, blue temple, black house, tea plantation and golden triangle etc) and to get into the town which was quite a way in the exreme heat,

Laluna is an amazing hotel some 10 min tuktuk ride south from downtown Chiang Rai.
Hotel grounds are located within jungle like lush greenery. Accommodation is in small bungalows, very cute and pretty spacious.
Highlight is a pretty big pool, so relaxing after all day exploring.
Breakfast was very good served in the building next door.

This is a very nice property with a jungle like feel right in the city. The pool is nice, not heated but great on a hot day. I would recommend staying here.

I stayed in a deluxe bungalow and sadly had major flight delays taking just over 24 hours later to arrive so only a 2 night instead of 3 night stay, this is a huge shame as the pool area and foyer area are gorgeous and the morning breakfasts very good! The staff were extremely welcoming and if im back in Chiang Rai I would definately rebook and highly recommend!

We stayed here for 3 nights. A lovely property, just like the photos online, gardens are amazing, pool is refreshing after a day of exploring. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. We ate at local vendors for all our meals, all delicious. Took the local tuk tuk parked at hotel down to the night bazaar thb50 per person. Taxi from airport to laluna cost us thb200 for 3 of us. Got a grab taxi for same price back to airport. Our guide tony from Lanna tours picked us up from the hotel for our adventure days all very easy and convenient. Travelling with a 10 year old, rooms were nice and large to add a bed for her. Highly recommend.

El lugar es hermoso, hay bastante vegetación y flores de colores, lo único malo es que cuando pides un paraguas debes dejar en garantía 300 Baht y en efectivo.

Laluna hotel and resort.
A lovely hotel. All ground floor arranged in beautiful gardens. Excellent rooms, a little basic in the Thai way but more than adequate. Large reception area with seating, and plenty of parking if hiring a bike/car. The hotel is set well back from the road so very little noise. Good breakfast and, as always, the staff are all on top of their jobs. The large pool area is secluded and has plenty of loungers, it can get a bit busy in late afternoon.
There are no views to be had due to all the fantastic foliage and the outside seating in front of the rooms is a little uncomfortable. The restaurant/bar is unfortunately rather expensive so very few patrons use it.
Downsides? Given two cards for internet as you need a different one for each device. I had to re enter the details at least once per day and it all seemed quite unnecessary and something not come across previously.
The hotel is about a kilometer or so out of town and few facilities in the immediate area. Town is walkable but taxis are quick and cheap, or a grab bike if solo. A 7/11 is 3 minutes walk away. Laundry place over the road but she is a bit tricky so write the cost in front of her otherwise she charges more than quoted.
The Lanna Tours trip advertised in the lobby is the bargain of the year. 1000TB for a 13 hour day to all the main local sights (8 in all) and including lunch with “M” as a very knowledgeable English speaking guide. So good I would do it again. An absolutely brilliant day out.
A very nice hotel and great value.

This was a beautiful place to stay! Very quiet and lots of ways to get around. Staff were not as receptive as other places but were always very professional. The rooms and pool are awesome!

I didn’t stay there. I don’t think they should charge me.
