History of the hotel made us return however we assumed it would be kept up to date internally .

Lovely colonial hotel, established 1901. Great atmosfere, large rooms, pool in the courtyard is excellent. But above all is the breakfast which has unbelievable variety and is set outside in the courtyard under massive trees. Wonderful. One feels like one is in an Agatha Christie novel.

Cons:

Well, maybe one thing. The hotel obviously makes money on big tourist groups. Which can sometimes be a bit loud and annoying. But they are usually gone by 8.00 am and after that you can enjoy a peacefull and relaxing breakfast.

Pros:

A very special stay
Saigon Morin felt like a really special stay for us. We were only there for one night and were genuinely sad that we could not stay longer.
What we loved most about the hotel was its history and the way it has preserved the charm and character of a traditional grand hotel. The interior is beautiful and has a real sense of nostalgia. It reminded us of holidays with our grandparents when they were still with us, which made the stay feel particularly meaningful.

We made sure to take our time and enjoy the hotel rather than simply using it as somewhere to sleep. We had our evening meal outside in the courtyard, which was lovely, and also enjoyed a swim in the pool. It was a very relaxing way to spend our time.

All of the staff were wonderful. They were attentive, friendly and always happy to help, which made us feel very well looked after throughout our stay.

We only wish we could have stayed longer. Saigon Morin has a wonderful atmosphere and a charm that is becoming increasingly difficult to find. We would happily return and would recommend it to anyone who appreciates history, character and traditional hospitality.

Établissement de charme bien situé pour un séjour en famille
Pros:

L emplacement et le charme de l'hôtel sont ses atouts indéniables. Le personnel est accueillant. Les chambres sont très spacieuses.Le patio vaste et bien ombragé par des arbres centenaires pour le pdj et profiter de la piscine.

Cons:

L hôtel aurait besoin d'un rafraîchissement notamment des parties communes ( bien que les façades aient clairement ete ravalees tres récemment)et des salles de bain, un peu sombres et vieillottes. Ce coup de frais permettrait certainement de valoriser les atouts historiques de ce bâtiment. L offre "internationale " du pdj est un peu tristounette et pas toujours fraîche ( pain, viennoiseries) , le jus d'orange type boisson reconstituée...

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans ce bel hotel colonial. On peut noter la gentillesse du personnel, une belle piscine extérieure chaude et propre, un billard, un excellent petit déjeuner dehors à l'ombre des arbres, une parfaite localisation en bord de rivière...

Great location and beautiful French style building.

Cons:

When we first opened our room it smelt like damp/mould, so we opened the windows to air it out but then we would get this toilet/bin smell coming through.
Every morning at 6:30am the cleaners would wake us up banging and crashing and talking really loudly as they cleaned nearby rooms. The breakfast is outside so even if you go early in the morning everything is warm, so it doesn’t seem very fresh because the humidity gets to it & probably not very good for travellers as this could add to the risk of food poisoning/sickness.

バスタブ嬉しい。リバービューの三階で部屋も広く、素敵な滞在を過ごせました🎵
中庭での朝食もたくさんあるビュッフェに舌鼓。
チャンティエン橋の目の前なので夜景もバッチリです。
エントランスのスタッフも丁寧だった。

Repeat visit to an historic hotel with a great location and great staff.
Pros:

Wonderfully historic - meaning old but exceptionally charming - hotel in a great location with great staff. This was the third or fourth time I have stayed there. Breakfast is good. But the charm of a 125 year old hotel in a great location with great staff is what brought me back... again.

Cons:

Some spots in the hotel show their age but no deal breakers. The elevators look like they could use an upgrade and the hallways are not air conditioned.
