Shorelands Guest Resort and Cottages

We had a very nice stay at Shorelands Guest Resort. We were only in the area for one night, but would have liked to stay longer. We had a small room, not a cottage, and it was perfect for our needs.

Stayed in newly renovated 2 room cottage (Small Unit H). They did a fabulous job! Charming, comfortable with some very nice add-ons. Definitely a great place at a great price. Some cottages are for sale and this stay peaked my interest

This is a reasonable place to stay in the area, and the location is good. The staff (especially Shannon!!) are terrific & really try to please. The bed was super comfortable, room was quiet, TV worked fine. Facility dated, but very clean. Some things to know: 1.While this place allows dogs, it's not really "dog friendly." Dogs are not allowed on any common areas, there is no dedicated spot for dogs on the property, no place to wash them off, and you have to go across a busy street, or down the street for your dog to poop/pee. We were given a long list of fines if any of this was disobeyed, including fur on the beds, dog hair anywhere, no washing them in the shower, if they have an accident on the grounds (even if you clean it up) etc. 2.Continental breakfast consists of a plate of blue berry muffins & yogurt, nothing else. Coffee & tea are available. 3.Sheets are changed every 3-4 days. Housekeeping consists of emptying the trash & replacing any towels "left on the floor." They did make our bed 1x when asked. There is a list of charges for extra sheets, bed making, extra towels, extra sheets, etc. 4. Although "free toiletries" is advertised, that consists of soap only. We forgot our shampoo, it was difficult to get any, as they "don't supply it" & it is samples from local hotels. 5.In the room, WiFi worked on my lap top, not on either cell phones. 6.Pool is tiny. I discussed all this with them while staying there.

Stayed in unit#14 the heating was terrible and none in the bathroom at all very cold. Had to pay extra for dogs but had to leave area completely walking down busy hiway in order to go to bathroom.

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean, cozy, and comfortable. It is so close to many fun things to do: local shops, restaurants, beaches, wildlife refuge (salt marshes), kayaking, etc. The price was very reasonable too. We will definitely stay there again !

If you want a cheap stay with your fur babies, this is the place. Do not expect anything more than that.

It was loaded with many bugs as the place was being worked on. Not ready for rental We all had many mosquito bites & a bee sting. I believe the doors had been open for the workers to finish the work. Sorry but it as a great disappointment . Frances Eppich

Cute little cottage! Brought me way back to childhood vacations in Quebec. Low key but clean & quiet. Just what we were looking for!

We enjoyed our stay. Quiet location except for some construction work being done on site & traffic going by. Pleasant yard for sitting outside. Comfortable cabins.

This was a disgustingly dirty place with trash everywhere. The pictures did not give a true picture of the condition of the facility. It was so bad we refused to stay there. The place had major construction projects underway and it was simply bad business to not be honest about the state of affairs and try to book people to stay there.

Walking distance to the beach, solid wifi, and dog friendly. This was a good stay for a cheap price if you don't care much about amenities.

We liked our stay especially that we could bring our little fur buddy with us. property needs some picking up but other than that the older cottages are accommodating. family members stayed in the new ones which were beautiful. would visit this property again.

The inn keeper was very authoritarian with her sweet dog, acted like he was a nuisance and forced and pulled him away from me when I wanted to say hello and pay him some attention. I do not care for people who are rough with their pets. After that she was very unfriendly, made us feel uncomfortable, like we were nuisances too.

Cute little cottage on Wells/Kennebunk border. 5 minute drive from Kennebunkport. Cheap clean and cozy, Shorelands is a great place for a small getaway from your everyday life to what Maine intended it to be

Decent price and can bike to the beach and Kennebunk

It was a quiet and relaxing place to be when you just want to disconnect. 5 mins away from the beach, that's perfect. I will go back for sure.

Older motel that could use a reno, but it was as advertised. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Loved the location as it was a short drive into the more expensive Kennebunkport and you could walk to a beautiful, peaceful beach. Staff was great, gave good recs for places to visit and eat that were less "touristy"

Older furniture but a comfortable bed in a duplex cottage.Everywhere was clean and well-kept and located very close to wonderful beaches.Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed.Pet-friendly was our top requirement.

We had a great time. Great hospitality. Beautiful walk to the ocean. Nice cozy cabin. Look forward to returning.

My wife and I stopped here on our way back from Bar Harbor. It's a great place to stay- not the most up to date, but the staff was very friendly, the room was very clean, and the price was reasonable compared to other area offerings.
