The photos for this place did not match the reality at all. Every wall through the entire place was riddled with scuff marks, all the grates were choked with dust, there was mould on the shower wall near the ceiling and in the grout around the bathroom, the shower head had its metal cap missing and was bent out of shape, the secondary overhead shower head would drip cold water while you're trying to get a hot shower from the front facing head, the cheap little bins were covered in grime streaks, the taps were horrible to use, the carpet was tired and gross, the wooden benches along the wall were chipped and tired, the tv was supposed to be capable of linking up with a phone according to their own room manual but reception informed the had purposefully chosen to downgrade their tvs (I had booked the room specifically wanting to be able to connnect my phone to the tv), the light switch and circuit covers were scratched up, the chair was covered in stains.....just a grotty, poorly maintained room.

Pros:

Fantastic location. Unfortunately, there was quite a bit of construction work happening outside, that was conducted on the weekend. Room was comfortable enough, but the inability to open the window and have no natural air in the room made it a bit stuffy. I would stay again and look forward to the renovations because the interior is quite dated.

Great hotel experience
Pros:

Great location in the free riding zone with public transportation and restraurant. Almost close to the all sightseeing areas.Excellent hotel staff. Breakfast is awesome. I stay in this hotel again when i return my visiting in Melbourne.

Property is tired. There is mold on the mastic around the shower and the basin, and the mattress is well past its prime. That said, the staff were excellent, knowledgable and helpful and the hotel is well positioned for access to the Queen Victoria Market and a short walk/tram ride to Central and the CBD.

Good location and price- tired
Pros:

Excellent parking option with the Victoria market parking.
Hotel near, tidy and mainly clean.
Shower and sink in bathroom didn’t drain well and had slimy residue.
Courtyard room is a nice option with sounds of water and relaxation but the room is tired and needs a zoosh.

Jasper Hotel was a great hotel in a great location. I was advised that the hotel will close for renovations on the 31st January 2025. No opening date was seen.

Pros:

The room was an ok size, but the outside balcony was dark, dirty and not inviting. The cleaning staff were lovely but there was food on the floor left by previous guests and mould in the bathroom. The reception wasn’t always staffed and no-one greeted us on arrival or coming in and out of the hotel making it feel impersonal. Beds were comfortable and location good.
