Great Stay But Slight Chaos At Breakfast
Pros:

This is a lovely, well-maintained hotel with plenty of character. It is well located and only a 15-minute walk from the railway station and the Empire Theatre. The room was tidy with good-quality towels and a really comfy bed. The few staff we spoke with were friendly and helpful. We wouldn't hesitate in returning and will do so at some point. Unable to comment on dining as we ate elsewhere.

Cons:

We came down for breakfast at 9.20 am, and it was reasonably busy, but it was enough for the staff to struggle to cope. The drinks/toast/cereal area was a little chaotic as there was a constant shortage of cups/water/coffee. There were no more than 30 guests in the restaurant, so no more than a reasonably busy tea room. The cups are of the dinky type (please provide mugs); no teapots provided and very slow service. The three staff tried their best, so maybe the long wait for breakfast was down to a lack of organisation in the kitchen, as we had to wait over half an hour to receive ours. The breakfast was fine, but mine came without eggs. We had a great stay here, but the breakfast episodes took the shine off it a bit.

Staff very helpful when requested a new room as there was a bad smell of damp. Location was excellent. Rooms very warm w
Pros:

Great location
Helpful staff

Cons:

Rooms quite small and dark. Very warm, no air con and only one window slightly opened. Breakfast was terrible. 45 minute wait, some food heated up which caused it to be hard, unable to eat and didn’t have breakfast for our remaining two days

Good access to the major attractions. Overall the hotel was really good value for our short stay.
Pros:

Excellent location, perfect for a short stay,

Cons:

Needs a little TLC, for example mirror in the room and the hair dryer needed updating. Some areas had been updated, the bathroom was excellent though a little cramped,

Good Value and Great Location
Pros:

The bathroom was bright and modern.Nice breakfast, shame it wasn't a little hotter. The staff were lovely and very helpful.
I would have liked a small fridge in the room.

Cons:

The water pressure was very weak. The room was very dark.
Paying a £50 deposit, which could take up to 10 days to be returned to your bank.
The hotel is fairly dark inside, and could also be more appealing from the outside.
