Derby
The booking was simple, the admin a breeze,
My changes accepted with comfortable ease.
No friction or fuss, not a single objection,
Just simple arrangements, a pleasant transaction.
On arrival, parking was easy to find,
A welcome was waiting, both swift and so kind.
My room, it was clean and everything sound,
A perfect escape from the world all around.
The facilities offered were second to none,
With USB ports and superfast fun.
Nice toiletries provided, with tea and with coffee,
All the small touches that stopped it feeling stuffy.
The breakfast was served, a fantastic affair,
A full English cooked with meticulous care.
With generous portions and tastes that were grand,
The finest you'll find in the whole of the land.
This three-star hotel, with its staff all so keen,
Is run by a boss who stays ahead of the scene.
With five-star service, a warm, friendly feel,
The Continental offers a wonderful deal.

Excellent value for money - superb restaurant on site and breakfast was fantastic. Plenty of parking but access very steep and can be tricky with uneven surface. Lighting went out in the shower (circuit/blown bulb) so had to use the torch on my iPhone
A hotel on a busy road but with parking facilities on site. It was some distance from the town but there is a bus stop nearby (these stop running pretty early).
It is located next to an Indian restaurant where we could have a meal with 15% discount for staying at the hotel.
The room was small and very warm, opening the window meant noise from the traffic.
Unfortunately the TV remote did not work in the room, although staff did try to resolve the issue unsuccessfully.
It was nice to have a bath in the en suite room; something that is lacking in many hotels!
Absolutely unacceptable experience.
The room was unbearably hot, and it was clear the sheets had not been changed before our arrival, we found multiple hairs on the bed. When we requested an iron and ironing board, both were broken and unusable. Overall, the standards of cleanliness and basic amenities were shockingly poor. Avoid this hotel at all costs, you’ll be glad you did.

The quality is slightly below what you would get for the same price in other cities. But there aren't many options in Derby. The hotel is fine in general.
Convenient position and good value friendly staff
Breakfast area and food was nice. Room was bad. Rough as tbh. And hot as hell!
Was made to pay an extra deposit and was told this was if i damaged the room. Going up the stairs from the lobby the hand rail was loose lots of untidy things like bodged repairs on way to the room when I got to the room the light was off the wall iron burns in the carpet cracks in the bath and lots or mould at the tap end of the bath shower rail glued together…

A very quiet and lovely hotel to say for a night or two.
Really nice stay ideal for my trip, breakfast was extra but reasonably priced, one minor issue was the water pressure in the shower in my 2nd floor room was poor but this wouldn’t prevent me from staying again
Very nice comfortable room and great service. I was however asked for photo ID I haven't been asked for any oin the UK lately for a while so was a bit suprised
Nice staff. Clean cosy room had a decent sleep. Bit of traffic noise but to be expected as on a main road not a problem for me. Breakfast wasn’t the best but did the job. Would have liked the dessi breakfast as an option. Would I stay here again?? Yes I would
The room was very hot alright the weather was scorching on the night I stayed . Room was O.K . Functional . The entrance looked good but round the back where you park was messy with building materials . Looked like it was in the process of refurbishment as there was wet paint signs in the hallways . Overall was clean and served its purpose.

The smell of newly painted area was almost unbearable and not a pleasant stay at all absolute nightmare
