Stayed here on a coach trip for 2 days
Bedroom on 1st floor was clean and shower good.
Bar is expensive with limited choice on drinks, even less on glasses (nothing worse than having one drink and then they try to serve next drink for example cider in a Stella glass) as they only seemed to have 2 cider glasses.
Food
As we were on a coach trip they had a set menu for dinner, 1st night you chose as you checked in which was ok, 2nd night you chose after breakfast thankfully as choice was mini chicken roast or quorn dish (they didn’t know what, maybe a no chicken chicken or no sausage sausage!)
Gave that a miss and went out for dinner
Breakfast was fine as with most holiday inns, all the standard fare etc, coffee machine had broken down so a bit of a trek to get your tea or coffee which was very poorly managed as this not communicated at all by staff so basically relying on other guests to communicate with each other as machine was down a corridor turn left and through a door (looked like the staff canteen)
Only issue which would mean I would never go here intentionally again is they allow dogs, which is something I try as hard as possible to avoid, only saw one on this occasion but seeing a dog in the dining room at breakfast does not get me in the best of mood to start the day.
Staff were all lovely from the greet receptionist to the breakfast team and departure receptionist. Breakfast was good.
Room was tired which I shared on departure and was told they are due a refurb very soon. I think the rooms need it based on my sample of 1.
Comfortable rooms and easy to park. Friendly staff
The evening meal choices were very limited and some items weren’t available, food took a long time to come and wasn’t very warm
Location
Air conditioning not working
Breakfast poor
The location is just next to the shopping area in Leamington and restaurants, shops and supermarkets are all just next door. Free car parking outside the hotel is readily available, just need a registration at the front desk.
This Holiday Inn is similar to other Holiday inns if you have stayed in one. Normal wears and tears and facilities are all old, including fitness room. Breakfast is typical style of Holiday Inn, with hot food and continental breakfast.
Single night, but great stay. Reception staff were very helpful, food was good including breakfast.
Good size car park.
Was further from the centre than we realised (our own fault for not checking the map).
Coffee machine at breakfast was broken
The property is well maintained, very clean, close enough to town, excellent staff all round from reception to housekeeping to breakfast staff, good breakfasts.
Air conditioning could have been a little better in the room. Coffee machine in breakfast area temperamental.
Staff, cleanliness, quality of furnishings especially bathroom.
Nothing
The reception was great for the children to be able to play and keep themselves busy
It was a shame the coffee machine was broken on the first morning as the queue was terrible in the other room and we all ended up eating separately
The staff was very polite .they couldn't do anymore for us
Room wasn't very big expensive drinks.. location wasn't brill for us
Nothing apart from the staff
The beds were old and stained -mattresses didn't fit the bases. The stains on the carpets made me retch. The lampshades were heavily stained. We had to purchase a bottle of water as none in the room and a small bottle cost £4.00
