Um lugar de sonho
Pros:

Dependeu muito da lotacao do hotel. Com muitos clientes internacionais, os buffets eram otimos. Se fossem poucos clientes e apenas orientais, aí a coisa complica.
É um hotel de selva, os macacos estao nas nossas janelas, nos corredores, os elwfantes passeiam pela prpriedade, como bufalos, cavalos e todo tipo de aves e rwpteis.
É uma delicia.
Mas é dificil de manter um determinado standard.
A arquitetura do hotel é magnifica, o que se pode visitar nos arredores tambem.

Let down by management - make sure to request a room far from the function room
Pros:

The location and views are incredible given the situation of the hotel. The staff on the ground were attentive and provided good service. The food and facilities also were excellent.

Cons:

The rooms felt a bit outdated and not quite at the 5 star level with small things missing and or broken.

But what really let us down was the poor hotel management. The room we were given was beneath the function room, which the hotel neglected to tell us. We found out when a 3 day event started and booming music disturbed our stay. For a 3 night stay we had to try 3 different rooms. We were given a temporary room at first and then had to be changed again, which was very disruptive. The hotel management did not seem to be appreciative of the level of noise and disruption - it was not acceptable for the hotel to have given this room out as a booking (they told us they typically give these rooms to people who stay from the function).

Worst of all, there was no effort to compensate us for these issues and discomfort, that ultimately ruined our stay here. I was very disappointed and uncomfortable in having to ask for monetary compensation as this was not offered - I had to haggle for 10k rupees of our drinks bill in the end. This is an expensive hotel and given our issues, just not worth the money we paid. Given the event, which was clearly the priority of management, we should have been notified in advance and offered a discount or change of rooms before our stay. They claimed that a ‘free upgrade’ on our final night should have been sufficient - no, we had to move room because the one they booked us was not usable, and a slightly larger room for our final night before leaving early anyway was not exactly commensurate with the inconvenience.

As noted in my positives - most of the service staff were excellent. My issue is primarily with the hotel management.

Awesome holiday at one of the finest property.
Pros:

Amazing Location and views of The lake and Sigiriya. impeccable service and the warmth of the staff.

The staff were the best especially our hotel driver Baudara a local man who has worked at the hotel for 30 years and has an exceptional knowledge of the region its people and the amazing wild life.

Pros:

A unique location which the hotel makes the most of through beautifully integrated architecture that melts into the rocky jungle outcrop it sits upon. There's nowhere like it. Service and food were also excellent.

自然と動物たちの日常にそっと入り込む宿泊体験
Pros:

自然と融合するのはこういうことかと感じました。部屋に入るとお猿が迎えてくれ、部屋からはシギリアロックと野生の象が見えました。動物達の日常にお邪魔しているような感覚になりました。

とても素晴らしかった。次はもっとゆっくり過ごしたい。
Pros:

2泊しましたが朝食も夕食も種類が豊富で内容も違っていて楽しめました。自然の中に滞在している感覚がとても心地よかったです。ホテル内のどこにいても素晴らしい景色でした。

Cons:

仕方ないと思いますが料理に虫が多く止まっているところがあったのが残念。
初日の部屋は一番下の階で、景色がそこまで良くなかった。
シーギリヤロックやサファリなどの予定であまりゆっくりできなかったのが残念でした。
