Heritance Ahungalla

My second time to this hotel the staff were amazing and even remembered me from last year which added that personal touch even though some of the staff had moved onto pastures new the ones that were left were excellent the room was pleasant with sea view highly recommended excellent service and i am looking forward to going back in the future.

Our stay at Heritance Ahungalla was a memorable experience.
Very comfortable rooms with balcony facing pool / sea was icing on the cake and we overall loved the property.
Multiple food options available in the menu and special thanks to Chef Balbir for his outstanding hospitality to prepare delicious on-demand Indian food was a big big help. Very yummy and tasty food prepared by him.
Also wanted to thank entire staff at the property for showing their warmth during the stay.
31st dec New year evening celebrations were fantastic!!

Very lovely place, the personal was really good especially Rukmal our cleaner.
The food was also excellent but kind of too spicy.

Fantastic experience all round. The staff were very helpful. Food was super. We got a suite, #117 as an upgrade!!

We felt warmly welcomed and well treated from the time we entered the hotel until our departure. Jayaru and front office team was excellent.

Very pleasant hospitality everywhere and specially Mr Aslam Thilina, Sewwandi, Kalana and chef Himal gave us beautiful environment when we had our dinner. Amazing and kept it up guys.. enjoy lot ,

A truly outstanding experience..starting with the location with a 'private beach' expansive rooms and staff that were the epitome of Guest service and hospitality. Visited the Property with family for 2 days. Excellent property.
Our Stay was made memorable specially because of efforts of Chef Balbeer Singh. He made sure that 2 infants with us taken care of.

This was a planned set and relax stay during our trip.
Wonderful greeting at reception. Rooms are good size with balcony overlooking one of the pools and beach.
Hotel is right on a beautiful beach and just perfect for a relax a a busy 12 days of travel.
A short drive to Madu River tour, including fish foot therapy; turtle sanctuary and followed by a seafood lunch under a hut on the beach.
Had an issue with cold food the first night but that was remedied by breakfast the next morning and continued hot food at the buffet.
Staff very helpful in wanting to make sure all is ok.
Beautiful grounds and I was sitting on our balcony, and a passing gardener threw me up a lovely bunch of flowers he had just trimmed. Followed a few minutes later by the best vase ever.!

Our stay at Heritance Ahungalla from October 15th to 17th was truly outstanding. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and professional team who made our stay so special.

The hotel’s stunning beachfront location, elegant design, and peaceful atmosphere created the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. Our room was beautifully maintained — clean, comfortable, and with a lovely view of the ocean. The food was delicious, with a great variety to choose from at every meal.

A special thanks to Lasan, Roshan, and Anil Epa from the housekeeping team for their excellent service and attention to detail, and to Rathik from the bell desk for his warm hospitality and helpfulness throughout our stay.

We truly appreciated the kindness and care shown by everyone at the hotel. It made our short stay both memorable and refreshing.

My stay at this hotel was terrible. The staff were very rude, not responsible, and showed a clear bias towards Indians. They made faces, avoided eye contact, and were not smiling at all, making the atmosphere uncomfortable. Every time I asked for help, they seemed annoyed instead of being polite or professional. Such behavior is unacceptable in the hospitality industry. I’ve stayed at many hotels, but this was one of the worst experiences. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially Indian guests.

Heritance Ahungalle is an amazing property that truly stands out for its serene beachfront setting and well maintained surroundings that lead right to the sea. Their rooms are comfortable, spacious, and well equipped. It offers a relaxing stay. The staff is friendly and helpful, ensuring guests feel welcomed throughout their stay. However, I found the food to be a bit underwhelming compared to the overall standard of the hotel. The buffet was quite basic, with a limited spread that didn’t quite match the expectations for a property of this caliber. That said, everything else, from the location and ambiance to the service and facilities was excellent. A wonderful place to unwind.

Fabulous in one word. Superb location, decoration, hospitality management. I will strongly recommend for family and friends trip.

We stayed for a 2 night family vacation. The room was spacious , modern and clean with a lovely view of the sea. And the breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets were absolutely amazing! Each meal offered an impressive spread with plenty of choices to suit every taste from - local favorites to international cuisine.

The staff were friendly,attentive and made sure every guest felt special.

Overall the food and service exceeded expectations. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone who appreciates quality dinning and great hospitality .

Words cannot describe this amazing hotel and it's even more amazing staff. We spent 3 days here and every aspect was perfect. It's seems almost unfair to single out a staff member who was more obliging than the others but Kavindee at the front desk was outstanding. Thank you for a wonderful holiday. We will be back.
