Reception services not to matching a 5 stars hotel at all

Cons:

Reception service was confusing as they did not know the immediate surroundings of the hotel. Specifically they ordered a Taxi to go to the EC offices which was 1 minute walking from the hotel

Take your money elsewhere
Pros:

Room service was a microwaveable meal - which inexplicably was cold. There were room service trays on the floor outside of my room when I checked in and the same ones when I checked out - meaning they were there for almost 14 hours? Reception lied and told us breakfast was included in the rate at check in only to charge us at check out. This is not a five star hotel, it barely reaches the standards of a two star. Do not stay here.

Billing chaos that continues after checkout
Pros:

I fully prepaid a half-board stay through the official channel, yet I was double-charged for both the room and the food. I was repeatedly asked to pay again at check-in, for dinner, for breakfast, and again at checkout because the booking was allegedly “not visible” in their system.

Even after leaving the hotel, the issue persisted. Duplicate charges remained on my card, and I am still spending time trying to recover the amount that should never have been charged in the first place. Management was contacted, but did not respond.

For a hotel marketed as premium, this level of billing control and follow-up is unacceptable. I would not stay here again.

Beautiful hotel and great location
Pros:

The hotel is nice, the rooms are clean, the bed is Sofitel so very comfy, the location is great on Place Jourdan, Nice Neighboorhood with bars and restaurants…
Not far from other great site of Brussels
We had an issue with the Window and they directly sent us someone to repair… repair not possible so they prepared another room very quickly!

Room service: I asked for ice and less than 3 min later my ice was there! The fastest service I never had!

We took this hotel because it was « Spa » but there only massage and one hammam, I was expecting more like hot tub, sauna, small pool…

Un très bon séjour à l'hôtel Sofitel. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié l'accueil et le service.
Pros:

La chambre était confortable et spacieuse, tous les équipements nécessaires étaient disponibles et le buffet du petit-déjeuner était varié et de qualité.

Vintage, comfy room with excellent breakfast buffet selection. Close to EU institutions.

Cons:

There was a mixup with my reservation that has been solved in the morning but then the whole procedure has been repeated with the new stuff before the actual, early afternoon check-in. It was understandable at first but quite annoying the second time.
