Pulling out on the main road in the morning
Very clean, good sized room with plenty of storage. Bathroom/shower excellent. Good menu in the bar area which was very comfortable.
All staff very friendly and a credit to the hotel. Plenty of free parking.
Room could be a bit cold and heating very noisy and inefficient.
A little further from the cricket ground but worth it to be in a quiet area by the river.

We have been several times now and feel the reception staff… in particular, Elli and Steven in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful.
Absolutely nothing
We had a great experience from start to finish. Friendly and helpful staff at reception to welcome us in. We didnt arrive until late afternoon and didnt want to travel out for food so opted to eat at the hotel restaurant. Again the young man serving was very polite and helpful,we ordered various meals and all was really nice. We were impressed with the breakfast, lots of variety of food, well re -stocked and lovely, helpful and polite staff looking after all guests. We would definitely stay again and can recommend this hotel!
I would prefer to be able to open the window for some fresh air but it didnt affect our 1 night stay too much.
