Ideal und komfortabel für Stadtbesuch
Pros:

Sehr grosses, komfortables Zimmer mit allem, was man sich so wünscht und diversen Extras (z.B. Minibar im Preis inkludiert).
Sehr gute Lage, große Fenster ( die auch geöffnet werden können!).
Tolles Frühstücksbuffet, Möglichkeit der Gepäckaufbewahrung.

Cons:

Durch die Lüftung im Bad kam sehr übler Geruch.

Хорошее местоположение,от вокзала три минуты пешком.
Отличный завтрак,исключительно чисто.

Cons:

В номере на троих было две чашки и два комплекта полотенец.
Регистрации пришлось ждать в очереди мин 15.

Hotel close to rail station and concert hall
Pros:

1. Close to Freiburg Railway Station (5 min walk).
2. Next door to Concert Hall: handy for concert-goers.
3. Room size.

Cons:

1. Check-in staff pre-reserved an addtional 50 euros on top of the room tariff without informing me. I only spotted this after my credit card was swiped. This is an unwelcome practice.
2. When I booked the room (mobile), there was no mention in the hotel policies of an additional charge that would be made on top of the room tariff to cover security/damage as part of pre-authorisation.
3. Transparency: Legally, any additional charge over and above the "contracted room tariff" (e.g. a security/damage charge) which the hotel adds, or plans to add, to the room tariff, must be clearly stated "at the time of booking", and not sprung on the hotel guest later on, or secretly applied without telling the guest at check-in.
5. When you call Reception, they don't pick up. This also happened the last time I stayed.
6. The cord of the electric kettle on the writing desk is too short, and does not reach the floor-level wall socket behind the desk. As a result, I had to place the kettle on a bedside table close to a wall socket! I don't think that was the hotel's intention.
