Functional but I won’t stay there again if I have a choice.
Pros:

Location is opposite the Freiburg train station and near the restaurants. Easy walk to the old town.

The room is decent and functional. No kettle though.

Cons:

The staff are transactional in nature, you don’t feel that you are in a hotel.

No welcome no smiles and they couldn’t find my booking and made me feel that I was the problem.

Hotel feels more like 3.5 than 4 stars.

Cons:

Heißer Sommertag und Lüftung im Raum lässt sich nicht einschalten. Keine Lüftung, keine Klima.
Auf dem Bett liegt ein Willkommenszettel und darauf kleben alten gebrauchte Kontaktlinsen - kein all zu vertrauensvoller Auftakt.
Sauberkeit und Ausstatt ansonsten grundsätzlich ok. Für den Preis allerdings eher unteres Ende

Der Pool hat sich als große Enttäuschung dargestellt. Negativ fanden wir auch dass keine Bademäntel auf dem Zimmer waren und es im Schwimmbadbereich keine Trocknertrommel zum Antrocknen der nassen Badesachen gab.
