Good room but long walk to it. Readily accessible parking (chargeable).
Disappointing breakfast. Limited choice, poorly presented. Not easy to self serve cooked breakfast. No offer of tea from waitress, had to ask. Way below the standard of breakfast I expected from a reputable hotel.
Had great difficulty finding the entrance to the hotel. Went round the block 3 times. Had to phone a friend in the end.
Decor in main lobby was lovely.
Very noisy, windows are not sound proof!
Breakfast was poor and completely waste of your money. There is a lovely resturant across the road which serves fresh food and even does delivery.
Wouldn't recommend the food at the hotel. Also room doesn't come with air conditioner and you can't open the windows !
Excellent Curry
Great beer, Neck Oil
Comfortable
Breakfast sausages were too firm
Slight language barrier with bar staff
Car Park charge 😕
The staff were amazing
Nothing
Very comfortable room, good size and exceptionally clean
Friendly staff.
Main building very beautiful.
The bed was uncomfortable and noisy when moving around.
Location and car park.
I have stayed twice, in difference rooms, and on both occasions the rooms were cold, and despite several calls to reception this was unable to be rectified and both occasions required a mobile heater to be used in the room. Generally I comfortable as I was so cold.
A very good breakfast with everything. The room was quiet, away from the street, window to the Garden. Bus close to the hotel. Some restaurants and little supermarket nearby.
Struttura pittoresca sembra di vivere nel passato
4 stelle senza frigobar e senza aria condizionata
location is good.
Access to rooms on the second floor was not particularly user-friendly.
I specifically selected this hotel because it was listed as offering free parking; however, on arrival I was informed that there was a £15 parking charge, which was disappointing.
The receptionist was polite on the surface and frequently used terms such as “lovely,” but her tone came across as somewhat sarcastic, which detracted from the overall customer experience.
The staff (particularly) Carly
Clean - recently refurbished room. Comfortable.
Helpful cheerful staff. Weekend and hotel very empty. Seemed to be being run by one woman - but she was excellent.
The breakfast was not good. Cooked food in hot trays and seemed to have been there for some time. No cold cuts for “continental” breakfast and the only cheese were plastic wrapped blocks of sweaty, rubbery stuff. Hardly anyone in the hotel so it must be difficult to cater for all breakfast preferences - but this was dismal.
We visited the Plough and Harrow as we married there some years earlier
We noted the hotel was quite dark , our room wasn’t the cleanest leak in bathroom and also the water in reception looked like it had been there all day.
Shame as we had such fond memories from when we got married there

Room was extremely hot we are in a middle of a heatwave and they couldn't turn the heating off. There was one fan that didnt do anything they didnt have any other rooms to offer either. We asked for water as the taps in the bathroom didnt have any cold water. They provided 1 bottle of warm water and ice. I will be formally making a complaint we ended up unable to sleep all night.
Spacious room.
Convenient.
Great service
Spacious room .
The receptionist, CARLA???, was helpful.
The rest O.K.
Good location
Front of house staff when asked a few questions after were a bit short and quite abrupt and could have been a little less hostile when I was trying to clarify a point.
