Wish the tv offered more channels or you could connect streaming apps
Just on the outskirts of Gaslamp. Close enough to be in it but just far enough to not be IN it. Tons of places in walking distance without getting back and still hearing all the hustle and bustle of the night life. It's a great location if you want your peace to sleep in on the mornings and to get back at night without being in the middle of the rowdiness.
Enjoyable stay, very comfy and I appreciated things like a hydration station just outside the room. Gets a little noisy in the lower floors at night but they provide ear plugs in case you're a light sleeper!
We stayed at the Andaz as a pit stop on a trip to Mexico for a wedding. Hotel was very nice. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Room was excellent. The bathroom and shower was huge. There was a little couch right in front of the bed. Lamps next to bed had usb ports to charge devices. Location was perfect right in gas lamp district with many walkable places to grab drinks and food. Would definitely stay again and recommend.
A very nice hotel with great staff. Location on the Gaslamp Quarter is great. There are many homeless nearby during the daytime but this changes in the evening and night period. (This is true across downtown San Diego and isn’t isolated to this hotel.) We are a couple with one traveler confined to a wheelchair and we found the room and hotel in general to be very accessible, including a roll in shower with safety bars in the bathroom as well.
There were a few things I wish I would have know before bringing my kids there. Unfortunately, the pool and rooftop were pretty much all closed down due to renovations. The accomodations for the closed pool was a 20 minute drive to their other location. Between having to pay for public parking, and not wanting to pay even more elsewhere, we were unable to swim on this trip. With it being downtown, it also had quite a few homeless people, which with multiple kids under 5, was not exactly the place I would go. The public areas that were open on the rooftop, we were unable to bring any snacks or food to, which once again, with kids under 5, not a great experience. This might be a good place to go with just a couple, but I would not plan on bringing a family here.
The location was great. I enjoyed being right in the gaslamp district. Everything was walkable. I loved that STK was connected to the hotel.
Friendly staff, felt secure but not overbearing, daily housekeeping, everything worked! Only very minor grievance was no water or fridge in the room, but they did give out water at the front desk and had water if you had a bottle on each floor
This hotel was decently located near the gaslamp and many restaurants. The rooms were pretty dark but the layout really worked out for us. We enjoyed happy hour at STK and all their offerings. The rooftop pool was nice but I didn’t realize the weekends were like Las Vegas day clubs. As a guest of the hotel, I would have hoped to have use of the beautiful rooftop pool with some peace and quiet. This means don’t bring your kids !
Beautiful hotel and rooms were top notch 👌 Roof top bar and pool were a bonus. Easy parking close by and walkable to local bars and restaurants.
great property with great amenities especially the rooftop pool, great location and great customer service, highly recommend.
Booked a Suite here the "Suite Suite" was not so
This room was extremely run down and damaged. definitely not what you would expect on a romantic weekend at a premium price. The HVAC closet was damaged and the TV system is beyond outdated. The room was dusty and run down. The drawer to the refrigeration was damaged and scraped the floor along with the hinge loose. lots of drug addict homeless junkies on the corner (there is a salvation army next door)
Great location. Beautiful hotel. Close to everything!! The food and the pool are amazing!! The staff is so friendly & helpful!
Such a disappointing and underwhelming experience. From the dark and musty room to being told to leave the pool area so the staff could set up for a ticketed party... so unprofessional. And the pool experienced happened each of the three days I was there. All of this from a supposedly luxury hotel property.
