by bullet train to Wuhan
Pros:

Paid a one night visit to Hubei University in Wuhan. Travelled from Shenzhen to Wuhan by bullet train, which was excellent. However, the bullet train station is well out of town, so it was a long taxi ride to the HJ hotel. The hotel is impressive for the money. Well equipped comfortable rooms with many facilities. English speaking staff who were generally helpful. Outside lift with views out over the Yangtze River was a nice feature, as was the revolving restaurant with Thai buffet. Breakfast was a wide ranging buffet. Only stayed one night but I would be happy to go there again.

Wuhan Howard Johnson becomes too old.
Pros:

Ther were some bad smel in the bath room.

A staff of the hotel seems to have some connections with a taxi driver who made over round trip to the airport which required me to pay 100% more than nomal fare.

Es war im Prinzip alles ok, außer: die Fenster könnten mal von außen geputzt werden, dann hätte man auch was von dem Blick. Und schade ist, dass keine Kreditkarten anerkannt werden.

Nice staff, good nglish in general. Corridors and room carpets a bit dirty with stains. Lot of dust in the room.
