Howard Johnson by Wyndham New Braunfels

This is an excellent property. Staff are very friendly at c/in and c/out. The room was very clean and updated. Beds are very comfortable. Had an excellent breakfast and had warm items, excellent 👌. I highly recommend this Howard Johnson when visiting New Braunfels, TX. 👍

Not as advertised. Room was very humid. Parking lot lights illuminated my room all night. No “hot breakfast” as advertised.

Super impressed with this place. The room was clean, the bed was really comfortable, and the staff went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. Free parking right outside my room made things super easy. Great value for the price—highly recommend!

Fridge in room didn't workas it should and when wanting to talk to someone you have to wait for the person to show up. Way over priced for the stay. Hotel is just a place to sleep but very disappointed with the stay.

I would give this property a 7/10. The building is older but it’s pretty clean and it has been renovated. The breakfast options that were included were decent. I had an egg with a biscuit and sausage. I found everything to be edible with no complaints. We also had cereal and a bagel. Staff was friendly and I liked the amenities that were available at this price point. The negatives were that the bed was very springy, I actually slept decently in it but I don’t think more than one or two nights would be good for my back. The room seemed clean but I guess they forgot mop the bathroom floor and I stepped on something sticky with my barefoot and I was grossed out. The room was otherwise clean. The room has carpet and has a moist feeling to it and has a slight musky scent. Makes sense since most people are here for the river and the carpet is probably wet often. The location is excellent, within 10 minutes of every where we needed to be. I needed an inexpensive hotel for a short trip to the water park that felt safe and clean and I feel like that is what I got. We spent very little time there, only to shower and sleep and it served it’s purpose within the budget I needed. I would stay again.

Stayed here for a business trip and was very pleased. The room had a good-sized desk for working, and the WiFi was fast and reliable. Everything was neat and tidy, and the staff was very accommodating.

I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and cozy the room was. The air conditioning worked perfectly, the bed was comfy, and the area felt safe and quiet. The staff were polite and gave great tips about local places to eat. Free parking and breakfast were a nice bonus. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting New Braunfels.

Exceptional! We had such a wonderful time. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Parking was easy and right in front of our room, which made our stay even more comfortable.

It was so hot in my room the ac faced the wall and tv so the beds on the other side of the room, never felt the air. Rooms need to be updated and painted

My daughter was bitten all over with bed bugs and when confronted the manager she was rude!!!

The property smelled like weed the first 2 days, the only day it didn’t was the day we checked out. So gross. The room was ok, pillows were great.

The staff is absolutely the best !!! I come to New Braunfels often and this is where I stay

I was supposed to get a single king room, but was given a double queen room. The bedding and curtains had several cigarette burns even though it was a non smoking hotel. There were holes in the wall. The bathroom was filthy and there was no way to shut the bathroom door. The beds were both uncomfortable. There are so many other hotels in town and I definitely recommend going to a different one.

This place was great to rest your head, can’t beat the price! With that being said, it smelled like mothballs, the AC unit leaked in our room creating a mildew smell, and very little amenities in general.
