Very convenient, clean and modern. Ideal for an overnight en route from the Ferry.
Pros:

Very convenient for a good nights sleep after an overnight ferry crossing. Hotel was modern and clean with plenty of parking. Staff were very helpful and polite.

Cons:

Initially parking seemed a bit vulnerable as we had a car full after driving from Spain. But plenty of spaces further around so no issues.

Comfortable and convenient.
Pros:

Our ferry to Jersey was cancelled so we were stranded for 4 days due to stormy weather.
The hotel was comfortable and had everything we needed to sit out the storm. The food was good and the staff very helpful and friendly.

Great stay just the comment at the top.

All of it one fault the room 502 was freezing cold could not get it warm gave us spare blankets but could not walk around as very cold

It's always a pleasure to stay at the marriott, I always book when in Portsmouth as its a friendly and clean hotel. The food is excellent particularly the breakfast. Staff are always very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The only gripe I have is dogs being allowed into the dining area in my opinion not very hygienic when they sit there scratching. I don't blame the hotel as it seems to be the in thing at the moment ( allowing pets in hotel's)

Clean hotel. Staff at reception. But expect to be turned away at restaurant

The hotel was clean reception staff good

Cons:

I went to go for dinner and was told as I hadn’t reserved then I wouldn’t be catered for. The restaurant area was empty virtually all evening. I went to the restaurant at 7.30 pm. I was asked what alternative was available. Only to be told nothing. Go and have a drink in the bar.
I was not pleased. I asked for the phone number for a local pizza take away restaurant. No help was offered. Very poor.
I won’t be staying at this hotel when I am in Portsmouth in 3 weeks time.

Pros:

The bed was very comfortable, nice TV, the room was a good size.
The shower was the best yet in 2 weeks away from home.

Cons:

Found the lift floors were dirty, I think you have workers around the hotel. Lack of sockets and USB points near both sides of the bed.

Sorry to say, I would not stay there again.
Pros:

It was conveniently located for our purpose and they allow dogs. The gym was well equipped and the breakfast was lovely. Staff were also friendly. Easy to adjust the room temperature which was good as our room was leeking cold air through the external wall.

Cons:

The beds are awful and without a promis that they are changed, I would not stay there again. They were of really poor and old quality. I could hear and feel the springs. I find it surprising that beds aren't the main focus of investment. The carpets and bathtub are also overdue, but for me of lesser priority compared to comfortable beds.
