Somerset Chancellor Court Ho Chi Minh City

This was our first stop in Vietnam and the reception staff could not do enough for us. They organised a short scooter tour for 11 of us (including young kids) just so we could experience it and we’d highly recommend. You actually feel a lot safer on them than off them!

The hotel is in a great location. It felt like a 15 min walk to most attractions and a 20 min walk to the main market.

Our 2 bed apartment was huge and clean. Unlimited bottled water available from a dispenser. Hairdryer and toiletries provided.

Breakfast was served in a restaurant around the corner from the lobby, plenty of variety there. Very convenient supermarket and cafe onsite too.

We went to the AO show at the Opera House one night and the Water Puppet show at the Golden Dragon Theatre the 2nd night. Both were great.

There are renovations going on at the hotel. The children’s playroom was closed.

When we left the staff gave our kids a huge bag of sweets each. It was a really touching gesture which the kids won’t forget!

Overall we LOVED the hotel, the staff and the city. Would highly recommend!

Our favourite HCMC the last visit was with our family of seven.A special thanks to your security man Nam Anh that always goes the extra mile to help with so many tasks we need ( broke my reading glasses) and he organised and took me to his optometrist for a new pair and I find out later that he done it in his own time.all the staff are always so great to deal with and if we fly to another destination for a week Summer Set always look after our bike and store our large travelling luggage for us till we return .Many times I get my favourite apartment on the high floor with the view over the embassy .

Excellent location. Big family apartment. Linh and Minh did a wonderful job of cleaning our apartment daily. Vacuum and mop, bins and water. Very fresh and clean. They were very friendly.

This was one of our many visits to Vietnam, and each time we return, we choose to stay at Somerset Chancellor Court. It truly feels like a home away from home.

We booked a two-bedroom apartment for three adults and had plenty of space to relax. The beds were clean and comfortable (though the pillows were a bit too soft for me—just a personal preference!).

One of the main reasons for our 5-star rating is the outstanding service we consistently receive. From the reception team to the housekeepers, security staff, and gym/pool attendants, everyone is incredibly polite, friendly, and always willing to help. Our requests as small as requesting the toothbrushing kits to big request as changed the bed, have been quickly fulfilled. The most importantly, they all came with the big smiles and willingly to serve.

Overall, great accommodations -- clean, spacious, and kind staff. Great for a long term stay. The staff has especially been great -- the front desk will get your grab food delivered quickly, and the housekeeping staff are very detailed. Mac Trang and Sen Han are A+ housekeepers and work so efficiently - I'm amazed.

Only two things for improvement are --
1. Lobby/gym "signature smell" is awful and way too strong. I've asked them to decrease it but apparently it's mandated by corporate. Corporate, PLEASE decrease or get rid of this completely. I find myself running across the lobby to escape the smell.
2. Pool could be cleaner.

Overall, highly recommended. Very homey feel. Just please get rid of the smell in the lobby.

I have a vaction to VietNam with my family in somerset. All the things was wonderful. Especially, Security staffs was really friendly. Mr Loc and Mr Cuong specially caring about us. Thanks for their best services in this place, hoping i will soon comeback

I stayed over two months at Somerset Chancellor Court Ho Chi Minh City in a 1-Bedroom Executive apartment, and it truly felt like home. The room was spacious, comfortable, and came with a well-equipped kitchen, which I absolutely loved since I often cook my own meals. The location was also perfect for both work and leisure.

Special thanks to Dung and Trung from housekeeping — they kept my room spotlessly clean and were always friendly and professional. Their care and attention made my stay exceptional.

Highly recommend Somerset Chancellor Court to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and great service in the city.

Best location - walking distance to D1 main attractions, cafes and restaurants, both local and international. The duplex that we are staying in is amazing - spacious, clean and homey. There is a shop downstairs what offers a decent range of food and groceries if you'd feel like to cook. Our flat is cleaned three times a week and Diem and Nguyen from the housekeeping is super kind, friendly and helpful. The gym has good facilities and ask for Trung if you plan to take lessons or simply want to try a gear. Just book and you won't regret it!

I had a lovely stay here over the past week. The room was always kept spotless, and the ladies (sen&tsang&tram) who cleaned my room were so warm and friendly — they’d greet me with a smile every morning and genuinely made me feel at home. You can tell they really take pride in their work and care about the guests’ comfort. The space felt calm and welcoming throughout my stay, and everything I needed was taken care of without even asking. It’s rare to find service that feels this personal these days. I’d happily come back again.

We went as a family holiday during school holidays. Our suitcases were lost at Sydney airport but the hotel staff were understanding and helpful.
Great location - central but quiet
Our room 3 bedroom suite (free upgrade from 2 bedroom) was spacious, well equipped, clean and lovely.
We ate breakfast each day and lunch occasionally on site - all excellent
The pool was a good depth, clean and safe.
But best of all, the staff were all great, friendly and helpful
No hesitation recommending for a family holiday.

We had a great stay at Somerset Chancellor and truly enjoyed every aspect of our experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch. The reception team was warm and welcoming, special mention to the tall gentleman wearing glasses who was especially helpful and professional.

Housekeeping kept everything spotless throughout our stay, and the Bell boy, Vinh, stood out with his attentiveness and friendly attitude.

Overall, a memorable and pleasant experience. We would definitely recommend Somerset Chancellor to anyone visiting the area and look forward to returning!

We have had a good stay at this hotel. Rooms were very clean and tidy. We had a two bedroom apartment. Decor a little dated but as mentioned, clean. Location is fantastic. Walking distance to a few attractions. Handy little shop next door for supplies. A little noisy Friday and Saturday night (music pumping from somewhere) street noise from traffic but that is to be expected in such a busy location. We were on the 14th floor. Breakfast was Japanese which we did not try - would have been good to offer a continental breakfast or some sort of room service. Overall we were happy with our stay at this hotel and we would stay here again. Staff were very helpful.
