Pros:

Room is spacious, facilities ok.. breakfast got variety...
Overall we had lovely stay.

Cons:

We had few times power off tng interference...but management is handling it..we got back power after 3 hrs

Terrible at all
Cons:

Very disappointing experience.

On the day of check-in, the hotel experienced a power outage. Unfortunately, the front desk's response was simply to ask guests to find alternative accommodation on their own or wait indefinitely until the issue was resolved. No proper assistance, contingency plan, or reasonable solution was offered.

What made the situation even worse was the lack of follow-up afterward. Several days have passed, and I have not received any refund confirmation email, update, or communication regarding the matter. As a guest, I expected the hotel to handle the situation more professionally and proactively.

The poor crisis management and lack of customer service have left a very negative impression. I would not recommend this property based on my experience.

Comfortable stay for family
Pros:

Location is excellent. Easier to commute to various eateries using Grab. Full kitchen facilities makes it easy to order food deliveries and eat at the comfort of the hotel room without having to brace for the crowds and traffic. Gurney Bay park is just right in front of the hotel so it’s nice to be able to stroll around the new park

Cons:

On the day I arrived the hotel had a power supply disruption and some guests had to be relocated to a different hotel. Been trying to call the hotel to get the update prior to my arrival in case I need to find alternative accommodation but nobody answered the phone or a WhatsApp message. Very frustrating and nerve wrecking. Fortunately my room was not affected and I only found out when I arrived at the hotel. I think the hotel staff were very busy that day so I understand their situation and hopefully won’t happen again in the future

Kudos to the reception staff Joey and Vanessa who manage to sort things out and arrange back my accomodation at the Asco
Pros:

The location is strategic. The room is spacious,the cleanliness is exceptional. The versatility of facilities and amenities,there are kids pool,kids playroom,adult pools with good background scenery. The reception were quite helpful in sorting out my accomodation which initially got cancel due to power supply issue and they somehow manage to arrange back my accomodation at ascotts

Cons:

Breakfast need to be have more variety-malay,chinese,indian,peranakan cuisine which resembles and remind people of penang

Returning guest with elderly parents
Pros:

The location, the spacious room and view. We took two rooms one Premier one Executive. Both were excellent

Overall, we enjoyed our stay last time and this time too. Will definitely be one of my top 3 places to stay in Penang.

Cons:

They had issues with their electrical power. There were power outages that affected the electricity and elevator but surprisingly not the HVACs.
Management gave one free lunch for each of the rooms for the trouble. Should have been more sincere by giving to all guests and not limit to one per room.
Not that giving a free meal voucher will lessen the impact but the 'what & how' sometimes will reflect the sincerity of the intent.
