Close to beach, comfortable, clean, food was great!
Nothing
The facilities, pool was great
Villa was a little tired
The location and facilities in theory are perfect. Close to Norah head and soldiers beach. Picturesque setting.
The Villa's are run down. They require a complete renovation.
After the impressive look and feel driving in and checking in you move into a run down villa that would befit a 3 star air bnb. Aged furniture, stained walls, stained carpet, shower and toilet drain build up, no lamps on the bedside tables in one of the rooms. We covered all the furniture with towels for the stay as they were greasy and oily.
The Resort facilities would be perfect if not needing repair and maintenance. Swollen doors, rusted fixtures and around bathrooms, pools and windows. There seems to be a lack of staff that a 5 star resort should have.
The pool bar was closed for the whole period of our stay even though we stayed in Feb. Summer which was such a shame.
The golf course is perfect though. That's where all the money is spent.
The feel is just not 5 star and the price is not justified. It should be stripped of the 5 star rating.
I would not return unless a complete revamp and restructure of the resort takes place.
One bedroom villa was spacious and well appointed and a good price compared to other places
While the venue is great ..it is getting a bit tired and needs some TLC … paint coming off… doors are dirty and need repainting … some of the pavers are crooked and become a trip hazard ..time for a bit of maintenance 👍
Very well spread area, resort has a golf course, close to beach, a pool , you can walk around the resort & enjoy peaceful nature.
Room was big, clean with balcony opening straight to a golf course view. Microwave , kettle, toaster , coffee machine were available as well as utensils which was really good. You dont need to call reception to get anything.
Firstly, no water bottle provided which usually is complimentary in hotels (we know tap water is drinkable) but you need to get that from bathroom sink. Kitchen doesnt have that.
Secondly, I informed hotel that its our special day, so if they can decorate our room just a very little way before we arrive (may be few petals only) as I booked resort just few hours in advance and didnt had time to bringsomething with me .They offered me a room upgrade for additional cost and minimum decoration also at additional cost to book via website. I tried looking several times, but no room deco service was available (or may be I couldnt find it). Now many people will think, its a business they dont give free things & I understand that but
I have stayed in more than 100 locations across the world but usually hotels/resorts even airbnb's have made it special when we requested. One Sunshine coast hotel made 2 swans from towel & put 6-7 rose petals on bed, minimum but cute .
Its their choice but something which I didnt like much.
5-6 petals on bed shouldnt be at additional cost when you are hosting a client.
Roomy, Clean and complete kitchen pots, cutleries, plates, glass etc
Wifi is quite poor signal
Location
Old and run down, and hit and miss on the cleanliness. Bed was very uncomfortable.
Family friendly facilities
How dirty the room was, and room service was expensive, the indoor pool was so dirty.
Staff were amazing and reception bar and restaurant exceptional. Unfortunately accommodation was not clean, couch also had food marks all over fabric and cushions. Needed a good update for the price per night. Location wasn't for my family, so wouldn't stay again.
location and surroundings wasn't nice
