This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I always stay at Hampton inn and suites because I know they will be clean, comfortable and the staff will be perfect. I was wrong this time and I will no longer be staying with this chain of hotels. This hotel was under construction and I was awoken everyday to hammers and drills. My room smelled so bad of fumes it was horrible. All the smoke detectors in the hallway were covered in painters tape all 3 days I was there. Thank God no fires! The pool was filthy and the hot tub closed! The gym was closed ! There was a baseball team of teenagers staying there . The staff was allowing them to play football in the drop off area and I was almost hit in the head with a football. These boys were yelling profanity and I was appalled as I am a Reverend. I complained and nothing happened. Later that night the boys were on my floor and running up and down the halls and screaming. I complained and nothing happened. Other guests were moving floors. I held out unfortunately. The boys slammed doors and ran room to room all night long. I complained and nothing happened. I asked for a refund and to my astonishment was refused

Pros:

The place is under serious construction and the first floor is basically ripped apart. They really should give people a heads up. All the construction dust could be a real issue for those with breathing conditions. That being said, it was fine for us, cheap and the rooms were comfortable.

The renovated floors look great, brand new. However, during my reservation nowhere was it mentioned the hotel was still under construction. I was surprised to walk into a construction site in the lobby. While understandable, this should be mentioned while making reservations along with a deeply discounted rate for the inconvenience.
