That it was close to my house and the front desk girl the night I checked in was super sweet and it was clean at first
The night before we checked out we had very expensive box is chocolate and we put it in the little section where the coffee is above the fridge because it didn't fit in the fridge and the next morning there were ANTS ALL OVER THEM!!! MY EXPENSIVE CHOCOLATE!!! Not to mention that your internet sucks it's spotty... the TV kept buffering.... we tried to wipe away the ants for you all but there were more and more of them... and then when i told the desk they were just like..."what room"... not a sorry or anything...I would have let the internet go but the ants... we were in the 3rd floor to so how bad do you have ants for it to go to the 3rd floor...I was very disappointed...I don't think I'll come back... it wasn't dealt with... the 2 men in the morning were not the young girl from Friday night... she was sweet and nice... the 2 men Sunday morning were not...I go to a lot of hotels and yea i won't book this one again
The bed is Comfortable
The hotel is old and it's too much for the price and they did not have ac on and it's 89 outside
The staff was friendly and very accommodating
I felt Unsafe. There were young people lingering and smoking in front of the facility. The lighting at the entrance and around the outside of the building was very dim. The room wasn’t clean. The carpet smelled of dogs as soon as we stepped off the elevator
Location
The hotel took my money when my stay was paid for through the app by a family member. I was not refunded the deposit of $50 and I was charged for the room. I kept telling the front desk the issue and several attempts to refund my money back was made, but no success. I even told them I was uncomfortable leaving the hotel because when they refunded my money back while I was there, it was successful. But once I left the premises, I was charged. I had to go through my back to file a claim. I will never stay at. Wyndham hotel again, nor will I recommend it. I still don’t have my money. Now I’m awaiting on my claim.
I have stayed at Wyndham hotels before and have been very happy with my experience. Unfortunately, this is not one of those hotels. While the front desk people are friendly and ready to serve, the number of times I have had to interact with them (in a less than positive way) have been excessive. I am not what you would call picky or entitled. I just want to stay at a hotel—or otherwise—that gives me some respect. So I felt this review was necessary. I will try to be succinct, but here goes…
1. Although we had a Jr. Suite, there was no telephone in the room. I had to go down to the desk clerk to report this (obviously, because there was no phone). It was brought by the next morning.
2. We noticed immediately that there was no glass plate in the microwave. (Again, another trip down to the front desk clerk.)
3. There was obvious chipped paint on both sides of the bathroom door, making it look old and less than clean. (Such an easy fix!)
4. Some of the furniture is old and worn out (see photo of the ottoman; in fact, see all the photos).
5. The tub has nothing in the bottom to keep people from slipping and falling, unless one has quick enough reflexes to grab onto the grab bar on the shower wall, which my husband was able to do. He made a point of warning me afterward, so I wouldn’t have the same mishap.
6. The light switch by front door and the switch on one side of the bed are on the same circuit, even though they are in two different sections of the suite. If you want the lamp on by your bed, the front door light comes on, and vice versa. (This led to other inconsistent electrical issues that I won’t even get into.)
7. The smart TV, although a nice 50” diameter, is basically worthless, as it did not open any of the apps that I was looking to watch, but instead gave me Error messages. These included: Netflix, Prime Video and Apple TV. I didn’t attempt any more apps after that. Then I tried using the “screen-mirror” option on my iPhone the first night, which showed up on the TV AirPlay up to a certain point, after which an Error message appeared on my iPhone 16e about its incompatibility with the TV. I tried doing it again this morning, but the link to the TV did not even show up on my screen-mirror option. I did address the situation to the front desk clerk on the first night, but he was at a loss as to how to rectify the matter.
8. The Internet WiFi in our room was hit-or-miss, not reliable to even open up websites on my iPad. I ended up having to link my iPad to my iPhone to establish internet on my iPad.
I don’t look for perfection in a hotel, just comfort and a little respect. I will say, to that end, that the king-size bed was very comfortable (with nice, squishy pillows) and gave me three good nights’ sleep, and for that, I am pleased. Also, the free breakfast had a good assortment of food to eat, both hot and cold, but I’ve come expect that from Wyndham. So, I will continue to stay at Wyndham hotels, but not at this one.
