Sunrise On The Bund

I have read various reviews before my arrival. The room was renovated but you can’t say it is a 5 star Hotel. The room is very small and it is fully occupied by the bed.
Bathroom can be more spacious if they eliminate the bath tub.
And let describe my awkward experience I had at the Hotel Spa. I reserved for a deep tissue massage, as after a long time of travelling, I need to stress a little my muscles. The massage went well but by the end the therapist started to play with my nipples. I said her to stop but she continued and on the top she wanted to make me a blowjob. I said again to stop and I felt very uncomfortable and I started to get stressed.
I went to a hotel spa to have a real massage, if I needed a massage with happy end, I knew where to go
I refused to pay the charge and at the end as nobody speaks English, the communication was with Google translation, they called the police. Again the communication was difficult, so I give up, as there was no meaning to continue the fight.
On the other hand when I arrived they didn’t had the reservation, although I had reserved since 14th of January 2026. The next morning they found the reservation
The charge for the 3 nights was 2400 yuan, they got a deposit of 3500 yuan and during my stay, 3 times the reception had informed the Bar & the Restaurant that I couldn’t charge a bill to my account as there were no money, so check your reservation and check frequently your account

Location value

The location is easily walking distance to the Bund .. maybe 20 minutes . Shopping if you require it is close and handy. The room was what I needed and comfortable. I travelled alone and the staff were always helpful. Concierge checked on me when they saw I was waiting a while. I tend to be super early !! It’s a little luxury and care without breaking the bank.

The location is ok. Short walk to the large SMP mall and Cruise terminal metro station. Rooms are fairly large, with a full size tub and walk in shower. There are a number of construction sites around the hotel, with work commencing early in the morning and into the evening. I suggest asking for a higher floor room, which is a slight improvement. Breakfast is ok; eggs can be cooked to order however there is only brewed coffee from an urn available.

Hotel room was rather dated but still in good condition. Bathroom wall was clear glass with no privacy tint so you can see all the way to the WC. I much prefer to do my private business in peace. Location of the hotel is away from the busy street which we enjoyed. Breakfast buffet was decent with a selection of western & local fare but presentation wise did not look great.

Gute Lage

I love the decor style, and the infrastructure is well-equipped.
