Cons:

Die Lautstärke der Klimaanlage und der Eismaschine auf dem Flur. Die Klimaanlage konnte ich immerhin abschalten, aber der Lärm aus dem Flur war störend.

Just okay
Pros:

Location is good and staff is very helpful. This hotel looks remodeled on the pictures, however, the carpet is really old, water pressure in the showers is low, room was just okay.

The newly renovated room has everything you need and is most comfortable.

Cons:

my first room was not on the seventh floor and it was not a good room. The air conditioner was so loud and there was no comparison to the room on the seventh floor.

Pros:

not a big problem, but the AC in my room: when it's off, the room is stuffy when it's on, it blows right to my head.

Rooms can be hit or miss
Pros:

Beds were comfortable, location was good. Room was tastefully decorated. Nice bathroom and shower. Plenty of nice towels. Good lighting. Decent chairs/sofa in living room.

Cons:

The first room we were placed in felt like a dungeon (faced close opposite wall/corner of the building). We asked for a different room and they offered only a $25/night upgrade for a suite. The suite also was dark, on a low floor, and faced AC equipment outside. Finally we got a decent room (higher floor suite). We'd stayed there before and had higher expectations, oh well. Silly thing also, the toilet paper holder kept ejecting the TP roll on the floor (yuck!) due to poor design or installation - needs to be replaced.

Top Notch Old Fashioned Hospitality
Pros:

The staff at the Sofia embody the same charm as the 100 year old building they work in. Their dedication to a great customer experience reminds me of the olden day Innkeeper.
Absolutely top notch service and elegant accommodations.
Highly Recommend.

New surprises at the sofia
Pros:

I have visited The Sofia in the past. We have always loved the location, cleanliness and the service received from the staff. This trip were absolutely surprised with recent updates and our “high tech” room without a single detail missed. There is a light system to alert housekeeping for privacy and room service with no more sloppy dot hangers. Lovely design choices, the same high end towels and linens.
We enjoyed speaking with Amy (sales manager) in the lobby during the morning. Kleber at the desk for reception. Everything was perfect! Could not be happier and will visit again.

Great stay
Pros:

Great location, justo a few blocks from the pier. It is also really near little Italy were there are several places to eat. Rooms are really nice and cozy.

Beautiful for celebrations and night life
Pros:

The bed was so comfortable, the room was immaculate and we had a wonderful view. Perfect location as it’s so close to everything, the only struggle was figuring out the parking as ive never been in the area before (beware one way streets). Otherwise amazing and we will definitely stay here again!!
