perfect location friendly staff
We came for my niece's wedding in Amelia Island. The hotel was wo derful and only 6 miles from the venue! It was perfect!

Water pressure was horrendous, number 1 and a couple sheets of toilet paper clogged the toilet, and no one was available to unclog or provide a proper toilet plunger (only a sink plunger.

Location, walking distance to beach
Kids wanted pancakes, the machine was down the entire stay. Somehow the breakfast ran out of plates!!! When I first arrived after reserving a dog room I was told they didn't have any. The door to our room would get caught on the door frame and had to be forcibly open/closed. During check in I was told there was $100 up charge for the dog room , and another $15 for daily parking. None of this was clearly stated while booking. When checking out with the "general manager" or at least that's what is tag said, no questions regarding stay at all.
I loved the location of Surf and Sand, and that they had bikes we could ride to the beach.
Our door going into the room would get stuck and it was hard to open, especially for a lady traveling with cancer. The breakfast in morning was okay, my grandchildren were looking for pancakes and they never even served.

Convince to the beach
Having to pay a $15 a day parking fee even though I’m a guest. I will reconsider staying there again next year and will probably rent a house on the beach for the same price point.
