Hot breakfast every was very helpful for Fairbanks’ cold morning

Very friendly staff
Breakfast
The snow buildup made it virtually impossible to plug in my vehicle for the night.
I liked the free breakfast option and the amenities included in my booking.
I checked in at 4pm and stayed in bed scrolling through my phone. I get a call from front desk around 8pm. "We received a report that you're being loud as elephants. There's a guest down here cussing me out and he may come up to confront you." I told her we've been in bed since check in. That was weird and uncomfortable. Whoever the guest was, they didn't come but I felt very unsafe that night. The next day I asked for room service, I left the hotel at 9:0am and came back at 4pm, room service did not come. I think overall the hotel and room was ok, it appears staff is lacking and some hospitality customer service is very casual. Would I stay here again? Probably not but I'm willing to give this hotel another chance. I hope the next time, stay is better accommodated.
Great breakfast
Helpful friendly staff
King room seemed small
We liked the spacious room. At least they had a breakfast buffet. Front desk Ms. Jones was amazing. Our shuttle driver Winston did a great job and was very helpful. He even found us kitchen supplies like a frying pan and dishes so we could cook in the kitchenette in our room.
We wished there was a full service restaurant and bar. Apparently they closed it during Covid and never reopened it. They now use it as a conference space. Dining options at the hotel would have been a plus.
Location near airport.
Staff was very unprofessional and really messed up - they entered our room number incorrectly in THEIR system and tried to enter our room with another guest at 2:00 AM on the 2nd night of our stay. They ignored a “do not disturb sign” on the door and the fact that a regular card key didn’t open the door. They jumped to using a master key without even knocking or calling the room — they just barged on in using a master key. Thank God we had our clothes on! Zero apology or accountability from the front desk staff. They blamed other people. Property manager was never available to discuss and staff was very argumentative when asked why they were entering our room. They never identified themselves as LaQuinta staff but instead insisted we tell them who we were. When we called the front desk to ask what was going on, all they would say was that the hotel was over booked and they were trying to find a guest a room. Well what about the guest already in the room??? When we checked out after our 3rd night the front desk staff person did apologize and said she would’ve handled it differently - but she wasn’t the one who had been rude and barged in our room — it was other staff members. Trash was overflowing at entrance and breakfast area was dirty - no clean tables and trash overflowing there as well.
Usually a great place to rest near the airport in Fairbanks. Stayed several times over the years. Friendly, warm and restful. This time however, the experience was a bit rough. It can happen anywhere and at anytime. I just think these folks let their guard down, or perhaps it was one of those perfect storms. There happened to be a solo guest right next door to me that was both deaf and on something that prevented a normal nights' sleep for him as he turned up his TV set full volume for the entire night! Once through my deep sleep cycle, I awoke through my earplugs and attempted to take care of the noisy guest problem. The fitness center had much missing equipment, the guest espresso machine in the foyer was mostly inop on several choices, and the breakfast was mostly quite spartan. I think they can do better. My past experience says they certainly did previously.

Great airport location but that’s about it. The room was clean and okay. The bathroom tub was a disaster. Shower and tub had lots of mold and fixtures almost detached. The supports beneath the tub must be rotten as the tub flexes pretty bad. This place is the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The room was okay however everywhere else was filthy. The carpets are full of dirt and haven’t been vacuumed forever. The breakfast area itself was unbelievable. Pancake mix everywhere and food on the floor. I was unable to find a chair anywhere that was clean. The staff at the desk were not friendly and welcoming. Will find a better hotel on next visit.
Shuttle took two calls to finally transport us. Shuttle drive offered no luggage help. Room was not to clean. Elevator was not working. No hot water to shower on arrival. Room was incredibly noisy.
The staff is impeccable, professional and very welcoming people. It was like we went to visit relatives! A unique experience!
Location is close to the airport
Far from downtown. You have to drive at least 15 mins to get to any restaurant
The stuffed bear
Older building in the wear and tear shows. Walls are very thin. We could hear neighbors talking all night.
I used the shuttle service to and from the airport, and both experiences were very smooth and convenient. The hotel is about 5 minutes away from the airport.
The room was smaller than I expected, and some amenities felt a bit outdated, but the bed was extremely comfortable.
Breakfast was decent, though it would be nice to have a wider selection, such as cheese, granola, or snack bars. The staff was very friendly and welcoming throughout my stay.
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay as a solo traveler and would recommend this hotel for its comfort and service.
