I enjoyed my stay at Grand Hyatt Shanghai immensely!!!
Pros:

I love the size of the rooms, it was big and very comfortable. I love the layout of the bathroom, I enjoyed looking at the view while I was soaking in the tub, the Balmain bath products smelled good. The hotel had a very good location. Great looking building as well!

Disappointing for a Grand Hyatt
Pros:

We were surprised to see that food selection was very limited in the breakfast and the club lounge. There were so many dishes containing mushrooms which was an allergen to my husband. The western style breakfast was a simple repetition of the same dishes we saw in the club lounge the previous night. The taste of bakery was stale and was not fresh. We had stayed at Mandarin oriental Shanghai and its breakfast was far superior than we had at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai.

The service in the club lounge was minimal. Tables were not cleaned fast enough, the staff weren’t welcoming, the guy at noodle bar was clearly not happy, everyday we were there.

The staff at the Japanese restaurant tried to wave us away and talked to us across the dining room because they thought we were dinners wandering for the dinner buffet. The Japanese restaurant dishes were disappointing as well. The shrimps on the skewers were not prepared correctly and the mud-lines were not cleaned.

The only person made us feel welcomed was the lady worked at the wonton bar during breakfast.
