Breakfast was excellent, friendly staff, great location & lovely period property. Price point was good value considering.
Sound insulation was terrible, lady with a hair dryer next door sounded like she was in the corner of my room! Rooms need serious updating, the 2 clear plastic chairs just didn’t look right. Car park arrangements are dire with a 5 minute walk down the hill to get to a multi storey so wouldn’t recommend if you have to drive.
Location 10/10
Not a thing
It was a decent, Historic building, not ultra modern, but I liked the History behind it, the Architecture, and the Photographs of it's time as a school was interesting.
It was close to Bars and restaurants, a bit noisy, just people chatting, but to be honest, it was pleasant, and didn't disturb me and I quickly fell asleep once I went to my room.
I can't think of anything I didn't like, I suppose maybe the room came at decent price for a nice hotel, but then I had to pay £16 for 24hr parking at another location,
not too bad a price for city parking, 24hrs, which gave me plenty of time next day to do a bit of sightseeing, Parking was walkable to the Hotel too so overall, I can't really complain, but if you're going by car, you may have to factor that in. Overall the parking wasn't really an inconvenience as it's pretty close to the Hotel, maybe 5-10 minute walk.
Liked the history of the building and all the artefacts.
Nothing!
The location was great - a short distance from the station, the cathedral and the tram lines. The room was comfortable but small, and the breakfast was fine, but not exceptional
Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner
It's central there are several restaurants that you can get a discount of 10-20% off food with staying at the hotel.
As usual we had to take off the duvet cover and just had the cover on the bed. Duvets are too thick in the summer months.
Staff very friendly and helpful
Room not sufficiently cleaned, the robes in the room had clearly not been washed after the last guest as there was a bunch of condoms in the pocket
There was a manager he was very kind he wore glasses, when I let him know I was unwell he let me stay for an hour extra complimentary to rest as it was a heatwave
The staff were awful they were inside your room when they shouldn’t have been and house keeping walked into my room when I was still in bed even with the sign telling them not to come in
Very central
Couldn’t get into the property past midnight
