Fabulous find in the Old City less than 15 minutes walk to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia.
The hotel is old fashioned but the rooms and public areas are spotless. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, especially the manager Ozan who speaks excellent English. The breakfast is plentiful with lots of choice, with some amazing homemade cakes.
This is such a lovely find and I highly recommend it. Great views from the rooftop bar.
If you are a light sleeper you may need earplugs when the call to prayer goes out in the morning, but I soon got back to sleep. I’d definitely return.
Great hotel with lovely friendly staff, very relaxed and old school. Super traditional breakfast with a view of the Bosporus when it wasn’t foggy. Everything you could want from a small hotel and only a short walk to all of the major sights.
We have just returned from a week in Istanbul, staying at the Niles Hotel. It really was a delightful experience. The hotel is very central, only one tram stop from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, and in the middle of the old city.
The rooms, and hotel, are very comfortable, with a wonderfully old-world feel. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive, and the breakfast delightful
The location was great. The room was nice and roomy. Noise level is low if you keep your windows closed. Service was nice. I would stay there again.
What a hotel. Location is perfect for any tourist. 3 minutes walk to the tram stop, 3 minutes to the grand bazaar and 10 minutes for the palace and blue mosque.
The hotel has all the original charm with a relaxed atmosphere. The roof top terrace gives you spectacular views over the sea. Considering it is in a busy area with shops, it is very peaceful.
Great value for money. Everything is so clean, fresh towels daily and not a bit of dust anywhere. The 24 hour bar on the roof top is great and someone always in to help you.. Breakfast is basic but I did have a freshly cooked omelette which was lovely.
STaff, what can I say. Management, front desk, cleaners and bar staff are all so lovely, friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back.
We were greeted, despite our 2:30 am arrival, with a small snack and friendly hello! The decor is great and we really enjoyed the lobby and first floor common area. All the staff treated us so well including providing great recommendations. Part way through our stay, we got a room upgrade as well. The daily breakfast was a nice mix of local foods and familiar staples. We loved eating the simit and pekmez/tahini mix. The location is great with a minute walk to the T1 tram line. The view every morning of the sea on the 5th floor terrace was worth the trip alone.
Would highly recommend the Hotel Niles for those travelling to Istanbul. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, with beautiful/historical finishings while still having modern amenities. It is located in walking distance to all the main tourist sites in Istanbul. The room was clean, quiet and high-value for the price. The breakfast was lovely and the food/drinks were amazing. The upstairs/rooftop terrace was surreal to sit with a glass of wine and enjoy the rooftop views. Would definitely stay there again!
The Hotel Niles in Istanbul was an excellent choice for our first trip to Turkey for my birthday. I went with my husband and we received a warm welcome from the receptionist, Ege who introduced us to the warm Turkish Apple tea, very refreshing. The entire staff and crew were awesome from the Manager, Ozan, to our lady who served us breakfast every morning. Everyone was a delight like the Turkish delights they served.
The hotel is centrally located right in hearts of some of the main attractions Istanbul has to offer. We will definitely visit Istanbul and the Hotel will be our place to stay. Thank you guys for everything.
A real cozy and local experience. The staff are absolutely fantastic and speak multiple languages. Every staff member interaction I had was great. The heated floors in the room were very nice for the winter time.
Very charming family run hotel. Beautiful interiors. Plenty of hot water and diligent room service. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff on reception. Perfect location.
Loved the location: very close (walkable) to the major sightseeing places. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. Excellent service: The room was regularly cleaned, with nice white bed sheets, and most important the room was warm (particularly in the winter time). Hotel management (Mr. Ozan, in particular) was knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to help... I would love to return, Elena USA
Wonderful staff, great location, excellent breakfast. Fun to watch multiple firework displays from rooftop terrace on New Years Eve. Highly recommend this hotel.
Beautiful family owned and run hotel. Great rooms and customer service. Absolutely beautiful and relaxing rooftop terrace. Loved the breakfast. Calm, quiet atmosphere, and great for couples. Close to everything. Staff went above and beyond. 10/10.
General manager Ozan and his staff at the Hotel Niles are the most gracious and friendly hosts ever. The breakfast in the beautiful rooftop restaurant is wonderful. And the location of the hotel is perfect — many restaurants within a few blocks, easy walking distance to the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern and the Grand Bizarre, and the just two blocks to the tram that can take you pretty much anywhere.
This boutique family owned Hotel is one of a kind. Great location ,close to all the old town main attractions and with a nearby tram station.
Clean and comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast served on the rooftop terrace.
The style/décor of the hotel is traditional Turkish and very pleasant and relaxing, particularly the ground floor lounge area.
The management and all staff are both friendly and very helpful.
I stayed at the Niles many years ago and returned for a four night stay with my family.
Highly recommend.
We loved this hotel! It’s a quaint, comfortable, well-run hotel in a central location. We had an unexpected change of plans and they were extremely helpful in working with us. It really felt like we were staying with family or friends. Highly recommended.
Experience is beyond expectations. Very Family oriented. They take extra steps to make you feel home. You need anything, anything , they are there.
The Niles Hotel is a beautifully decorated early 20th century vibes boutique hotel. The decor reminded us of our time on the Nile Cruise. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was large and comfortable full of amenities. And the breakfast was amazing!
I cannot recommend staying here enough!
Spent 3 nights at hotel, had a standard room was small but fully equipped ,free wifi was good, room had safe for valuables and (TV not used) bathroom was fine plenty of hot water for shower. Sleeping was undisturbed as not much noise outside
Room had air conditioning, was cleaned every day, had tea and coffee and a bottle of water, fresh water was available from reception and in the breakfast area on the roof top terace
Breakfast was continental, I had scrambled eggs and French bread, there was a earn of fresh coffie.
Staff were very good and spoke very good English ( a lot better than my poor Turkish
I have no complaints about hotel and would happily stop again .
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Niles! The breakfast was included and the best we had in Turkey. The staff are friendly and very helpful and made us feel welcome. The location can’t be beat.
