From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Pros:

We had a very pleasant family stay at the AC Hotel Marriott Penang. The rooms were spacious, modern, and well-maintained — everything stayed clean and tidy throughout our stay thanks to the efficient housekeeping team.

Cons:

The location is excellent, convenient for both city exploration and family outings with easy access to restaurants, shopping, and attractions.
The highlight for the kids was definitely the pool — they absolutely loved it and spent hours there every day. It was clean, refreshing, and family-friendly.

Pros:

As expected of a hotel (plus point - superb staff & varieties of nice breakfast options). Though it is a distance away from main tourist spots, it is nearby airport. Please do check-out the Red Diamond restaurant (few km away) - good dining place & worth a value for a local flavour meal.

A night at Penang's AC Marriott
Pros:

We had an executive studio - two bedrooms with two baths. It was very clean, quiet and looked new. Check-in and check-out were super fast. Breakfast food taste and variety was absolutely reasonable for the price. Wifi speed was amazing.

Cons:

Location was quite far from the city center. It was within what looked to us a residential township although we caught a view of the sea from that distance. We missed taking photos of the unit as we were so exhausted when we checked in.

Excellent value for money...meets my expectation.
Pros:

The room was very comfortable, large and clean. Hotel location is very close to several food outlets and is very convenient. Parking is very easy at the hotel basement. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Not much.
