Once the booking error was resolved we had a comfortable stay and used the gym and pool.
Pros:

Comfortable room but no aircon
Breakfast was good
Location was ideal for the celebration that I was attending

Cons:

There was a distastrous start where the hotel had only one room booked under my name. Should have been two.
I showed them my confirmation from Boooking.com but that didn't help.
They said they were fully booked and could not honour my confirmed booking.
After much (45 Minutes) discussion eventually involving the manager a room to my original spec was provided.
It was not clear where the error occurred.

Pros:

Not much to be honest felt like I was in sub standard accommodation. Was very disappointing

Cons:

Out of date coffee and biscuits in the room
Water leak outside bathroom door, woke up to this.
Bed uncomfortable
Hairs all over the chairs (long grey ones)
Coffee at breakfast poor and food had been out too long as rubbery despite going down to breakfast at 7.10
TV 101 to 105 non existent as HD channels

An excellent stop-off on route from South of England, to North Yorkshire.

Comfy stay in a friendly hotel, with nice food 😊
Pros:

Always like the friendly staff, comfy beds and good food.

Cons:

No net at window overlooking golf course so people can look into room as they walk past. I shut the curtains on a lovely sunny day!
Also the ironing board could do with a new cover 😬

Pros:

Spacious and cool as the fan had been left on and the room is sheltered from the sun by the trees

I guess there are logisitics as to why breakfast cut off is so early,

Check out time is too early and breakfast time finishes too early for a weekend. Though I paid for my breakfast I took a friend elsewhere for breakfast.

Use the room, avoid the dining facilities.
Pros:

Room was comfortable and clean. Plenty of hot water. Good towels. Overall room OK
Staff were friendly and polite.

Cons:

We had evening buffet dinner and breakfast buffet.
Food varied from fair to inedible. OJ was the worst I’ve ever tasted - couldn’t drink it. Morning coffee exactly as bad. Both so weak and watery. Staff though pleasant and friendly were in general inadequately trained and badly managed.
This hotel is by far the worst hotel I’ve stayed in.
PS. I’ve never written a bad report like this before.

Pros:

Polite and helpful staff, food from the bar was delicious

Cons:

Our room was extremely hot , rooms didn't have air conditioning, only one small fan per room.and none available when asked for more.
There was black mould around the bath and shower.
