For what l payed for dinner bed and breakfast l have no complaints.
Pros:

Staff and food were excellent. Nice walks throughout the hotel grounds, impressed with the model of Scotland. Great area for walking.

Cons:

The room l had was clean but needs updating the bed was to firm for my liking. I had a look in one of the suites these rooms were updated and looked very nice. Hotel needs to update some more rooms and corridor carpets. But l still had a good time.

Pros:

Friendliness of staff, especially in the restaurant. Evening meal was exceptional too.

Cons:

We had a deluxe twin room. It was extremely small and certainly can't be described as deluxe. Lift didn't go to this floor which meant a long walk and extra staircase which was very difficult for one of our party with mobility issues. Our room, 209, also had a very unpleasant smell in the bathroom which was reported to reception. I have stayed before in the hotel and been pleased. Disappointed, however this time.

Fabulous trip to a beautiful part of the country
Pros:

The restaurant was excellent. Great selection and you could choose from the bar or restaurant menus, mixing and matching to suit.
Service was brilliant, really friendly, efficient and polite.
Breakfast had a good selection with plates frequently topped up and no massive queues despite the hotel being busy.

Cons:

The bed was comfy but only if you didn't move. As soon as you did the other person almost got bounced out.
The floor in the bedroom was also extremely squeaky so when getting up through the night you woke the other person.
