Great location
Rooms really poor, desperately need an upgrade.

Hotel kamer boven de keuken
Very quirky place. Very clean, bed lovely and comfy. Staff very friendly from check in to restaurant and check out. Breakfast beautifully presented. Will definitely stay again as a base next time. Loved the history of the place and the Polish Scottish Flag
Nothing really. The hotel needs a spruce up etc but it's lovely and clean.
We visit a couple of times a year and really enjoy the quiet .
There had been a bus tour in the night of our stay which we feel should have staggered the breakfast times as when we went for breakfast there was dirty tables and very little food ready plus they where drainingbthe coffee machines I to there travel mugs which didn't sit well with us .

Wonderful grounds
The spend limit on the evening meal could have been made clearer.
Great location and was perfect to chill out and dinner at night and the staff were all friendly and helpful
Looked at the polish map of Scotland at the back very impressive
The room was very hot and the window wouldn’t stay open
Lovely location and lots of history attached to hotel
Tired and dated needs a revamp
Staff were amazing. Good food and fab location
Our room was very dated and needed full refurbishment
The grounds, the food, waitress who served our dinner. Bedroom was nicely decorated and clean.
The public areas and external of the buildings are very dated and could have been cleaner. The toilets off reception, the lift and carpets in particular need some renovation. The gazebo really needs painted too. Our bedroom was very hot.
Location was perfect, beautiful surroundings and an easy walk to catch the X62 bus to Peebles. Breakfast was great, with a full buffet and had the pool and sauna to ourselves in the evening which was lovely 😊
Nice staff, very accommodating as we had to book a second room very last minute a so daughters plans changed. We were also travelling with our dog and they made this easy. Lovely breakfast and nice small spa/pool/sauna area. Very pretty grounds and some interesting sights around the grounds.
Decor is a little dated and room was a little small but grand for one night.
