Categories

Cleanliness
7.8
Mixed reports: many guests praised overall cleanliness and a very clean breakfast/grounds, but multiple mentions of dirty pool area, under-bed/floor not cleaned and an uninviting pool reduced the score.
Service
9
Consistently positive: numerous reviews call out friendly, helpful and welcoming staff (specific praise for breakfast attendants and reception), making service a strong point.
Location
9
Strong for Universal/attraction access — many guests highlight proximity to Universal and convenience for sightseeing. A few comments noted an undesirable surrounding neighborhood (North Hollywood) but most praise the location for their needs.
Room Quality
7.5
Mixed: several guests found rooms comfortable, spacious and beds comfy, while others reported uncomfortable beds/sofa bed, dark rooms needing more lighting, and noisy/old AC units affecting sleep.
Amenities
7
Amenity concerns: breakfast is well-regarded, but recurring negatives about the small/indoor pool, access through the garage, and problematic parking/garage lower this score.
Value for Money
7.8
Generally seen as reasonably priced by some guests, but value is reduced by unexpected parking charges and tight/limited parking spots; overall perceived value is above average but not excellent.
Food and Beverage
9.2
A clear strength: many guests repeatedly praise the complimentary breakfast as plentiful, well arranged and a highlight of their stay.
Overall Experience
8.3
Overall positive stay for many visitors due to location, friendly staff and good breakfast; however, issues with parking, pool and occasional room problems create variability in experience.
