One of our party was caught out by the hot water supply being stopped at 10:30 on a Sunday morning. Workmen cut it off and Recrotion had no knowledge of this.

Such a lovely hotel. Our room was pretty worn looking but clean. To make it a really top stay I'd say some updating of rooms in necessary but we loved our time there. GREAT food and fabulous staff and the hotel is in a beautiful setting. Really worth being based here to travel to Oxford and surrounding areas.

Excellent stay! Reasonably priced too compared to other local offerings. Could eat onsite, and go for a dip.

This hotel is simply beautiful. Everything that we needed. Especially how the welcomed our dog. Special thanks to Annie who was very kind and helpful. Will surely come back .

had to move rooms as the damp walls and peeling plaster in the first room just didn't appeal!

The second room was better, but eas still damp and cold. Oh and the bathroom floor tiles were loose!!

The mattress!... I'd definitely recommend it to an enemy!

Very averse hotel. Ok for one night after a wedding but would not want to spend more than 1 night

Lovely place to meet up with friends and chill, set in beautiful grounds. Lovely pool, jacuzzi and steam room. Room are comfortable.

We just stayed here for a couple of nights and it was absolutely amazing, all the staff were brilliant, especially one of the room cleaners, she was absolutely brilliant, we didnt catch her name. We would highly recommend this hotel

Surrounding grounds, use of pool.

We loved the hotel when we arrived. Beautiful period building. Reception area fantastic. Unfortunately we were not in the main building! Driving to a different car park and the Garden rooms we were confronted by a complete eyesore. Very disappointing. The rooms however were a different story. The beds were very comfortable with quality bedding. Lovely thick towels and toiletries provided in the bathroom. We ate at the hotel which was good but we were shown to a separate area, the Italian “something” and the actual restaurant looked much nicer. Overall I would stay again especially if on a deal (which we weren’t but most other guests seemed to be!)

Hotel was great. Modern rooms set in pleasant grounds. Spa is open 7:00 - 22:00 and has a nice pool area. Breakfast has a good continental selection. Cooked also available.

Very happy with our one night stay. All staff very helpful. Food good..The problem at dinner was no one fault staff coped well.

A fantastic second stay at this lovely, relaxed hotel. Despite renovations being carried out, our stay was unaffected. Pool was still open and a welcome start to the day. All staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again.
