We will be back!
Pros:

The room was large and comfortable which was important since this was a winter trip so more time was spent indoors. View was nice. Breakfast was great.

Still awesome after all these years!
Pros:

My first stay at the Cherry Tree was more than 20 years ago, and I loved it. With the off-season rate coinciding with a rare vacation opportunity, I was able to afford a short trip to TC and another stay at Cherry Tree. It did not disappoint! The facility, staff, service, guest room, and other amenities were still top-notch, just as I remembered from years earlier. It’s a great destination hotel that puts you in a perfect spot to explore everything Traverse and the Leelanau Peninsula have to offer. Looking forward to staying at Cherry Tree again one day soon.

Great as Usual

Wonderful family friendly hotel
Pros:

We had such a great stay at Cherry Tree Inn & Suites. Traveling as a family, we’ve experienced everything from mid level to high end hotels, and this one truly stood out especially for the level of service.

The hotel was very clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully designed. The family room was amazing, and the suite layouts are perfect if you’re traveling with kids and need a bit more space to spread out.

One of the highlights for us was the pool area. The indoor pool stays nice and warm especially in the evenings, and the hot tubs were a great way to unwind. The only small note is that the chlorine is a bit strong, so just be mindful to rinse off well and avoid wearing sensitive clothing.

Breakfast was solid, but what really made it special was Laura, who runs the breakfast service. She went above and beyond with her hospitality, patient, kind, and incredibly welcoming even with a group of very energetic kids. She made our mornings feel easy and enjoyable.

Overall, this is a fantastic option, especially in the off season when it’s very affordable. The level of care and attentiveness from the staff exceeded what we’ve experienced at some higher end hotels. It was exactly what we needed for a relaxing family getaway. We look forward to coming back during the busy season.

Clean, Cozy, and a Very Pleasant Stay
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at Cherry Tree Inn. Our room was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the attention to detail in both the room and bathroom. The bed was comfortable, and the sleeping area stayed nice and warm.

The sitting area near the patio door was a bit chilly with the wind, and I wasn’t able to get the heat to turn up. I didn’t report it during our stay, but when I asked for an extra blanket, it was delivered promptly, which we appreciated. The couch in that area was also a bit worn and could use an update for added comfort.

We didn’t use the pool, hot tub, or breakfast, but we did enjoy the complimentary coffee and water station, which was well stocked with great options.

Overall, we had a very nice stay and would consider returning.

All around good place
Pros:

Rooms are clean and staff is friendly. The breakfast could be better. Limited options and only one waffle maker. Need to update the alarm clocks. Ours was off by over an hour and to fix it you had to plug in an iPhone. Problem was it was so old the plug wasn’t compatible with my phone. No room safe. Kitchenette is a little strange, there are burners in the middle of the counter. Our microwave door stuck.

Terrible Customer Service!!
Pros:

Make a reservation, but lose the email confirmation. You’re screwed. Called the front desk and just blow you off and tell you to refer to the email I can’t locate. Customer service completely sucks!!!

Anniversary getaway
Pros:

We stayed at this hotel for our wedding anniversary. It was nice hotel but it's starting to show it's age. Yhe indoor pool area could have been cleaner. The room was beautiful. The front desk was rude and left a bad first impression on our stay.
