Pros:

This is my first time staying at this hotel, I'm in Balikpapan for business. The location is super strategic, I really like it. Breakfast is complete, and the roomboy named Amal is very friendly, the room is clean and comfortable. Too bad the gym is under renovation, but it's okay, everything else is great 🌅

The cleanliness of the bedding and pillow cases didn't look like it hadn't been changed.
Got bitten while sleeping on the face, below the eyes.
The card payment system needs improving, declined payment five times at the hotel when there were funds in both accounts. Felt embarrassed.

Verblijf in 10 jaar oud Novotel.
Pros:

Het is een Novotel, maar wel een Novotel van 10 jaar geleden. Personeel aardig en behulpzaam, binnen beperkingen.

Cons:

Het is overduidelijk een zakenhotel waarbij het vertrouwen van de klant volledig verdwenen is. We moesten een deposit betalen, wat we dus niet gedaan hebben. Het hotel is aan renovatie toe.

Pros:

Stayed here for 2 nights. The room is spacious and no issues in the room. The ac and wifi are working well.

Good service and best staff
Pros:

Always nice to stay in Novotel Balikpapan. Staff is always trying to provide with the highest level of services.
Hotel is clean and nice located with a mall and restaurants at walking distance.

I've been staying at the Novotel Hotel for almost a year. There are many hotels in Balikpapan, but this one is the quietest, cleanest, and the staff are incredibly friendly. The hotel restaurant staff, in particular, always make me smile. Thank you, Kadek and Aknofa, for creating such wonderful Indonesian memories. I can't remember your names, but the drivers always pick us up safely and quickly, the lobby staff always smile and guide us, the restaurant staff always greet us with a smile, the cleaners always clean the room, the laundry staff always deliver our clothes on time, and the staff who always thank us when we return to our rooms after working out at the gym. We always feel grateful to you. Although this will be my last business trip to Indonesia, I will always remember your gratitude and kindness.

The hotel with a big ballroom
Pros:

Stayed one night in room 411, checking at 1 am. It's a big room with twin beds inside. Breakfast time is another nice experience. The floor is equipped with carpet as we don't need praying met to pray. It is quite inside, we cannot listen to azan (or because I slept late) at subuh time.
The hotel has a big ballroom, named Borneo. Many big meetings by Kaltim government are conducted here.

Great stay, great team.
Pros:

Lovely hotel, central to the city. Dewi, Iabal and Delita, at reception were amazing. Very helpful in navigating the city. The bar and restaurant team made me feel very welcome. I will stay here again.
