I booked twin room, and because they had some problem, they offered us a double room with mountain view. It was very beautiful view and we love it!
The sofa was a bit old or dirty, am not sure, there were stain here and there, but that still ok.

Location: it is very close to everything. Note: if you use google maps do not enter the hotel address but the train station in front or it will try to route you through closed roads.
The room has not been renewed in a long while but it is still holding up. We were there in a heat wave and not having A/C could be an issue. It took a while for the room to cool down at night.
Excellent location. Clean, friendly staff , good bar downstairs , parking .. could walk to many of the things we wanted to do or catch the train if needed. Would go back but would ask for a room not on the top floor though it would be very cosy in the winter.
Room on top floor had a skylight window that was impossible to open or close blind as so high .. had to stand on chair with coat hanger. No tea/coffee in room. Recently moved into a pedestrian only zone so would have been useful if the hotel had informed us of that as sat nav directed us into a no go area.

The best thing about the hotel is undoubtedly its location, directly opposite Chamonix train station.
We would also like to highlight the wonderful staff, especially Ella and Melanie, who were incredibly kind, warm and attentive throughout our stay.
We also loved the classic British-style décor, which gives the hotel a cosy atmosphere and plenty of character.
Our room felt rather small, even though, judging by the floor plan, it appeared to be one of the medium-sized rooms. There was barely any space for luggage, and the wardrobes offered very limited storage, which we imagine could be particularly inconvenient in winter. The wooden drawers were also difficult to open and quite noisy.
Another issue was the room temperature, which we found rather cold, with no apparent way to adjust it.
The bathroom was also small, and the shower wasn't particularly practical. The handheld showerhead lacked a suitable wall bracket, making it difficult to shower without getting your hair wet and causing water to spill onto the bathroom floor. A simple adjustable holder would easily solve this problem.
On the positive side, cleanliness was excellent, and overall, we had a pleasant stay.
It was a perfect fit for motorcycles. We had 4 and there was parking right out front.

Loved the friendly and helpful staff Hugo and Ella who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The position means you have easy access to what is a beautiful town. Great shopping, cafes,bars and restaurants. To add the cherry on top of the gateau the views are stunning! The bar is a great place from which to people watch. Breakfast was a great experience served by two incredibly positive people. In our four week road trip this has made a huge impression on us. Our only regret is that we didn’t book for longer. One piece of advice book station side rooms as they have phenomenal views!

We wanted to have dinner and breakfast and were limited on where we could go due to a very old immobile dog. The restaurant has no vegan options (I had chips for dinner nothing else) which is disappointing in 2026
