The property is beautiful!
Rooms were very hot
Clean spacious with very friendly staff
Needed more complimentary tea and coffee in the room.
Beds, grounds, atmosphere
Room was a little dark
Great location, suite had a great view. Staff were great.
Decor in room needs to be updated (90s style ans needs repainting) bathroom needs upgrade to charge that price for a room. No fridge in room either.
Stunning location in the middle of Ashdown Park. Gorgeous grounds. Spacious rooms. Lovely staff. Exceptional breakfast. Toddler loved swimming pool (hours were really generous).
The food in the casual restaurant wasn’t great - a shame as I really wanted to eat all my meals at the hotel. Lots of delicious options in area though. Pool is just indoors which is fine but outdoor pool addition would be great for summer time.
Beautiful hotel with magnificent views. The staff were friendly and helpful, rooms exceptionally clean and spacious. The only complaint was that the taps in the bathroom both ran hot! The breakfast was really good and a late dinner via room service was great. Would stay here again to take advantage of the spa facilities.
The hot and cold taps in the bathroom both ran hot water!
Tiny bed, stuffy atmosphere when checking in
Lovely surroundings and location
The grounds were beautiful. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. We like the fact that we can choose a time for breakfast and be served.
Lack of spa facilities, no steam room or sauna.
Beautiful hotel in scenic surroundings. The bedroom was gorgeous, quaint and comfortable. Stunning views. Breakfast was delicious, freshly made to order and we had a lovely dinner in the club with very good service.
Service in the lounge area of the hotel was slow and staff were not very friendly
It’s a beautiful property set in lovely gardens and grounds. Tony the concierge was a fabulous ambassador for the hotel and was great at assisting my Mother who has accessibility requirements.
The hotel is starting to get a bit tired and isn’t really geared up for guests with accessibility requirements.
Lots of character
Bed was uncomfortable, room was hot, hotel communication poor.
