Pros:

Booked a single room and was upgraded to a double. Room was lovely and warm and clean. Slept great. Breakfast wad very nice. Staff friendly.
Beautiful location.
Didn't get to eat dinner so can't comment on the evening food.

Characterful pub/hotel with great staff and friendly vibe
Pros:

Enjoyed the bar frequented by local people, pool table, excellent staff and great restaurant menu. We also ate in the bar. Warm good sized bedroom, comfy bed. A friendly, family run hotel with character.

Cons:

Bath towels were small - providing really good quality towels would make a big difference.

Enjoyable stay
Pros:

Restaurant is lovely and food was very good. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We had an original stone fireplace in our bedroom which was a great feature

Cons:

A bit dusty in places and decor seemed a little random. Steepness of driveway from the car park and steps within the building may make a difficult for some people

Great Weekend Stay
Pros:

Great location. The town is very picturesque and close to many other Cotswolds town. The staff here were very friendly, the room was clean, comfortable bed and great shower pressure. Lots of parking.

The walls were quite thin as we could hear a lot from the hallway.

I lost £100 - but life is too short to spend a night in a noisy, smoke filled, dilapidated tired old hotel.
Pros:

It’s a beautiful old building that has been neglected by the previous owners and the Indian guy who took over, whose name l can’t remember, unfortunately has left it unrenovated.

Cons:

This place hasn’t been decorated in over 30 years. The decor is 1980’s, the bathrooms have basic sanitary fittings. It’s like a hostel inside, there are a rabbit warren of bedrooms and the noise from downstairs is deafening. I was going to stay the night but once l saw the room l changed my mind. It was dismal. There was a very noisy function going on in a back room, the partygoers had spilled out across the landings and everywhere else - the smell of cigarette smoke was pervasive. I didn’t get my £100 back - he initially said l could - then backtracked.

Pros:

Beautiful Cottswold building. Pristine white linen, comfortable bed, spick and span bathroom, and exceptional breakfast. Lovely welcoming pub. Staff so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Dinner menu was great and food was exceptional and really good value for money. I can't rate this place high enough.
