Executive Floor suite was spacious (including the tub in the Master bath-- nice bath salts too); loved having two restrooms and the placement of the living area restroom was perfectly private. Rooms are soundproof and that was SO appreciated. Not always the case in some of the newer built 5 star hotels.
The food on the Executive floor lounge consistently WONDERFUL; we felt the variety was engaging even on a 5 day stay and didn't feel the need to go downstairs. The view from the windows sweeping as well, with the river below.
Even if the interior can feel a bit dated the quality of service and cleanliness all there and then some. Kudos to the staff on Executive floor for their attention to service detail!
it was kind of amusing that these two huge heavy massage table size "executive' desks with equally gigantic "executive" chairs took up a third of each room. I think those could be removed and replaced with a simple glass top desk surface and sleeker/better desk chair; it would give the room a less crowded feel. I ended up on the sofa with my laptop because the chairs were too large and low over a long period of time. You'd have to be over 6 feet to fit the chairs correctly. I don't think Executive Floor room designs should cater to the almost non-existent population of white male travel executive these days.
The woman's locker areas with steam and sauna were fantastic. Locker rooms very clean. I used the small room off the main weights area to do yoga several times- it had enough privacy with only 2 entry doors so the outdoor machine noise wasn't too disruptive. Would help to have better wipe down materials for the mats. I had to go searching for something. I also noticed that others who used the space left mats and rollers out and they were still there the next day.
The location.
Very few people speak English, it’s incredible but the staff of a hotel of this level it’s not trained to deal with western tourists.

都很好,但是房間內地毯防滑設計有問題的,我們因此跌倒了,全身酸痛。
Excellent hotel and service, birthday gifts to be remembered
Pleasant experience thanks to a well-kept and luxurious hotel, with attentive staff and with extra features thanks to the Horizon Club
Luxury excellent break fast comfortable clean
The location of the hotel was great! You could walk to TaiKooLi if you wanted. The staff were able to speak English.
Nothing.
Good location, in a lively area. Nice room view over Anshun Bridge. Excellent breakfast. Good communication skills of the staff (English). Good heating system. Non-stop room service. Many elevators (no waiting time).
The photos are deceiving - the rooms are antique, with very old furniture and amenities.
Very overpriced for what it offers in terms of rooms. If I knew the real state of the rooms, I wouldn’t have booked it at such price. There are far cheaper, newer hotels in Chengdu.
Deposit of 500 yuan/night not advertised on Booking (however, refundable).
Rather poor sound insulation from the door/ hallway.
Although we only spent one night at the hotel, we found the staff to be very friendly and well organised, and they reconfirmed all the details of our stay. The hotel is well presented and is about a 30-minute walk to the Chunxi Pedestrian Walking District.
A very special thanks to Vagvent Fu, who looked after us extremely well. He was very accommodating with all our requests, friendly, and polite. Thank you once again to Vagvent Fu and all the hotel staff.
