My partner and I had a wonderful time at this hotel. The staff were very kind and friendly. The hotel breakfast was very rich, tasty, and varied. The gym is fantastic too! There's a swimming pool and more unique equipment like a power plate and a yoga room. The front office staff, especially Mr Vagrent Fu, helped us a lot with our luggage and checking out smoothly. We hope to be back!

Cons:

It's a little bit far from a subway but very convenient to call a Didi and walkable from Chunxi Road. So not a big deal! Otherwise all great.

Pros:

У нас был номер с потрясающим видом на набережную и мост. Завтрак был разнообразный и вкусный, много блюд, есть европейская кухня. Ароматный эспрессо, правильной прожарки. К сожалению не успели воспользоваться спецпредложением на массаж.

Lives up to it's name

What's not there to like about the Shangri-La.

Mr. Vagrent Fu (Assistant Front office Manager) was excellent in his assistance to us.

The breakfast was sumptuous, the spa was v good and even while the security was hyped up to accommodate the president of Ecuador who was also staying at the same time, we didn't feel inconvenienced at all.

They also have an afternoon offer for 2 people at 170cny each to drink a lot wine...

We celebrated a birthday and they gave us a lovely cake & champagne too

We shall return to the chain, as long as we can afford it :)

Cons:

Early check-ins. Our booked rooms are never available so we either get an alternative or an upgrade. This time we got an alternative room but was kids themed so we had a small tent, slide and some duck based stuff in the room! Which they then helpfully removed...

Also, their bar area has an amazing selection of whiskies but only 5 of them are available by the glass:(

A wonderful stay made even more memorable by the warm hospitality and genuine care of the staff.
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay, and one of the highlights was the daily buffet, which offered a great variety of dishes and particularly good choices of meat. We really enjoyed having such a wide selection available every day. Another highlight was the exceptional hospitality from the staff. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely willing to help.

A special mention goes to the three young men on the concierge team — William, Bob, and Jason. Bob was extremely helpful in resolving an incorrect charge from a Didi taxi, and he handled the issue with great patience and professionalism. William went above and beyond when my wife needed some medicine, helping us find a local pharmacy and even arranging for the correct medication to be delivered to the hotel. Jason was always ready to assist, especially when communicating with taxi drivers and helping us find things to do and places to visit.

Their kindness, attentiveness, and willingness to go the extra mile made our stay truly special. They are a real credit to the hotel, and we sincerely appreciate everything they did for us. We would be very happy to stay here again!
