Pullman Shanghai Jing An

This is my first time to book Pullman in Shanghai due to the swimming pool and nice room service.
Nice experience and very quality service

Been staying here for several biz trips. Unique location with access to high speed train station, and not far from city centre. Bit old but classic, with ample amenities and a pool. Nice breakfast selections.

We were greeted warmly and checked in by Amy, who did such an awesome job in leaving a strong first impression to our stay. The housekeeping team also did a wonderful job in keeping and maintaining the cleanliness of the room. Great job team!

Room size is good . The concierge people are the best one . Allan cheng especially you can tell he works hard for all the hotel guests. From looking for parcels looking for addresses with not so much fluent of english he tried to help as much as possible to all the hotel guests. We stayed for total 7 nights he is always busty helping guests. Breakfast is chaos in busy time. Suppose they can have 2 section for

Who stays in executive floor to have breakfast in lounge area. This will be better as the downstairs floor is hard to find tables.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist, which made our trip very comfortable. The service was fast and well organized, from check-in to daily housekeeping. Our room was clean, spacious, and suitable for a family stay. The hotel environment felt safe and relaxing for both adults and children. The location is very convenient, with easy access to transportation, restaurants, and nearby attractions. Overall, it was a pleasant and stress-free experience, and we would gladly choose this hotel again for our family trip.

I stay 2 night in this hotel, the service from reception very good, get room upgrade, the lounge very good, food and drink my item.

OK, so the welcome at this 5 star accommodation was OK, friendly enough but no one really knew what they were doing. The room, a CEO suite which I was kindly but unnecessarily upgraded to, was very, very old in styling - lots of dated wood panelling, flock wall paper and poor lighting. But it's only somewhere to sleep and let's face it, the hotel is not expensive.
On the upside, breakfast is superb, recommend you book that in your stay.
No, the big reason I write this review is the club lounge. If a lounge is important to you then do not book this hotel. The attitude of the staff is "I don't care" and boy do they make it obvious. They ran out of wine, beer, lemonade - basically everything and the only relpy I got from the "Club team" was a confused stare. So bad this my last visit to the Pullman and probably ny last chance for the Pullman Group too.
By the way, I must exclude the door staff from this review, they were great.

Can completely recommend staying at the Pullman when visiting Shanghai. It’s the perfect area to get around the city and located just by the metro and railway station. The staff are very friendly and professional and will make your visit even more pleasant.

The hotel boasts an exceptional location, offering super convenient access to Shanghai Railway station and just subway station down straight the Hotel. It’s the top choice for any leisure or business travellers that want to visit Shanghai or the city arounds in Jiangsu province.

The hotel is still classy even if a bit aged. Rooms unfortunately quite small but this is quite normal considering the location.

Personnel are always super friendly and helpful, in general English proficiency should be improved.

Food room service should be guaranteed also after 10:30 pm as many business travellers might come late.

Pool unfortunately always too crowded due to other guests.

One word of appreciation goes to Ms. Felicia that she had been always supportive during my various stays in this hotel in 2025, managing in a timely and efficiently manner all my requests.

Overall I’m extremely satisfied of Pullman Jingan and I truly recommend to any traveller that is seeking strategic and convenient location to visit Shanghai and the other nearby cities of this amazing Province!

This is, in many respects, an excellent hotel. Many aspects are truly five-star. However, I am rating it only two stars due to false marketing and questionable business practices that undermined my stay.

The Negatives
1. Misleading advertising
I booked the CEO Suite specifically because it was advertised as having a jacuzzi tub — clearly stated on both the Accor and Pullman marketing materials. This is NOT true. The CEO Suite, and in fact none of the suites or rooms at this hotel, include a jacuzzi tub.
When I raised this with staff, they admitted it was an error and said they would “inform people to update the marketing.” I also contacted Accor directly, but after several weeks, they have yet to respond. This level of misrepresentation is unacceptable for a five-star property.

2. Unauthorised payment practice
The hotel charged my card a day before my arrival without notice. The charge appeared under the name of a restaurant within the hotel — Zhongya Restaurant — rather than the hotel itself.
Initially, I believed my card had been compromised, as I hadn’t dined there. Upon inquiry, the hotel explained it was a pre-authorisation and that the restaurant was part of the hotel so they do not see it as an issue. However, there was no prior communication about this process, causing unnecessary stress and confusion.

3. Faulty room temperature control
Our room was uncomfortably cold, and the thermostat did not work. When we called reception, we were told the thermostat was broken and were provided portable radiators instead. This should have been communicated at check-in, not discovered through discomfort.

4. Incorrect and misleading food labelling
At breakfast, several food labels were inaccurate — for example, pork sausages labelled as beef, and beef sausages labelled as chicken. Vegetarian items contained meat, and pork items were sometimes placed alongside non-pork dishes. Even staff could not consistently provide correct information.
For an international hotel hosting guests with dietary or religious restrictions, this lack of accuracy is unacceptable and potentially offensive.

5. Fitness centre shortcomings
While the 24-hour gym is well-equipped, it lacked air conditioning, making it uncomfortably warm. The water cooler only dispensed lukewarm water, and no towels were provided.
Additionally, some guests were using the gym without appropriate attire — even shirtless or in underwear — which raised hygiene concerns. Clear enforcement of dress and hygiene policies would improve the experience.

6. Limited wellness facility hours
The sauna and steam room facilities were only open for about two hours daily, rendering them largely unusable for most guests. This severely limits the practicality of these advertised amenities.

The Positives
Despite the above issues, there are many strong points worth mentioning:
• Excellent location — just a one-minute walk from the metro and easily accessible via taxi or Didi.
• Stylish and modern interiors — the hotel’s design is contemporary, and the CEO Suite itself was beautifully decorated.
• Generous breakfast selection — offering both Western and Chinese options with plenty of choice.
• Well-equipped gym — open 24 hours and includes a range of cardio, weight, and resistance machines.
• Nice pool area — note that swim caps are required (available for purchase). The hot pool is pleasant, though its jets were not operational.
• Innovative robot service — the delivery robots are a unique and fun touch, efficiently bringing requested items to your room.
• Friendly and helpful staff — reception and concierge were consistently professional and accommodating.
• Good executive lounge — provides snacks and drinks throughout the day and is well-suited for business travellers with its quiet work areas and meeting facilities.

Firstly the check in at this hotel is always slow and inconvenient. Doesn’t have priority check In lane. Secondly don’t book in the Accor app. Nearly always cheaper on Trip

The hotel is pretty big , to my point of view not as much international as I was expecting, the English language spoken at the front desk is it a bit poor.
On the other hand the rooms on high floors are really cool and comfortable.
I would like to underline my experience with the concierge service , Mr. Allan Feng is the most reliable and professional concierge I met in a few years. Always available to help with any of your questions and most importantly he sorts out everything punctually and efficiently. .
Down sides , the food is horrible, buffet food 2 stars hotel quality , the lounge , even worse , empty fridges , very very basic selection of food and again , the quality is pretty basic.
A big + to the gym , that is very well equipped and large dimensions.
Honestly, would not be back if going to Shangai again .

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was beautifully designed, clean, and very comfortable — everything was arranged thoughtfully, making me feel completely at home. The location is also excellent, just a short walk from the train station, which made it super convenient to explore the city and get around easily.

What really made my experience special was the warm and professional service. I would especially like to thank Felicia for her outstanding assistance. She was always smiling, patient, and willing to go the extra mile to help with anything I needed. Her kindness and dedication truly made my stay memorable and pleasant.

We spent four nights at the hotel during a family holiday (2 adults and 2 kids) and stayed in a spacious suite with a decent view and a sofabed that worked perfectly for the kids. Although our original bathroom wasn’t clean, the manager quickly upgraded us to another suite, which we truly appreciated. Breakfast was a buffet offering a wide selection of both Chinese and Western dishes. The lounge was peaceful and relaxing, and the pool and amenities were excellent—we used them every day. Communication was manageable as an English speaker, though my wife’s Chinese definitely helped. The location was ideal, situated right above a metro station, and just a short five-minute walk to the train station, which made our departure especially convenient. Booking with points made the stay great value for money. One final thoughtful touch: we left behind a piece of clothing, and the manager kindly offered to forward it to our next destination. Overall, a fantastic stay.

Thankful to have stayed in Pullman Shanghai Jing An. Location is prime, staff were warm and friendly (esp the front lobby colleague from Italy), and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in our short stay in Shanghai.

I stay here several times per year. I need a train ride from Shanghai to Huaian and the Pullman hotel is very close to the train station.

Rooms are nice, breakfast is nice, and the restaurant has good options for dinner as well if you don't feel like going out.

Bathrooms have a great waterfall shower head, one of my favorite things after a 13 hour flight is a good shower.

Aside from being close to the train station it's just a good location in general with lots of options to do things.

It's my go to when travelling from Seattle to Huaian, and I will be back in the future.

This hotel is a great example of the Accor brand. The hotel is optimally located, with a beautiful lobby and excellent courteous staff that fully recognize status. I enjoyed my stay, and found the room and hotel to be so accommodating I changed my travel plans and extended my stay.

However, I did find the restaurant pricing to be nearly 10x that of any place outside. But that's nearly a given for a hotel restaurant these days and easily rectified by walking outside.

Very nice hotel staff is very friendly and the service is fantastic would definitely stay here again
