Arrived to find the Hotel Closed Down
Nobody present Doirs Locked In darkness
Maybe closed for refurbishment ??? No Notice anywhere to advise
Had to rush at a very busy time to find alternative accommodation
Never again !
Originally I was a little worried when we found out that our room had no window--only a skylight--and it was rather warm. But Nicola (hope I've spelled that right) very kindly found us a much nicer room. Breakfast was good and the staff were all unfailingly pleasant and helpful to deal with. I like the history behind the place. It's been a hotel since the 1850s. It could do with a few touch-ups here and there but it was very comfortable and the fact that there was a bar right in the building was great when you wanted a Scotch at the end of a day.
Nice helpful staff good food and easy parking
Staff were nice. Good location. Room was very small with only a skylight. Paper peeling off walls. Soap dispenser in shower fell off on use!
Furniture old ant tatty. Not good overall. Did not eat in hotel as a result.
Very nice nice stay. Very comfortable. Good breakfast. Great value
The staff at the hotel are so welcoming and I just felt like I was at home.
They are asking for a review...
Well, I would just say that the only way to fix the myriad of issues here, is to bulldoze it and rebuild from scratch...
Sorry...
Stayed 4 nights for a family visit. The rooms are a little dated and the beds firm. Breakfast excellent and staff very friendly. Overall it is good value for the price.
Staff were helpful, but the first night we stayed out radiator started banging at 3am and didn’t stop all night. No one to fix until about 7am. Paper thin walls and could hear next door snoring.
They upgraded us to a quieter room after breakfast. Then the new room had no hot water. So had to go to the old room to have a hot shower. Perks of an old building. Breakfast was nice both mornings.
Lovely staff, very clean room and public areas, decent breakfast, nice biscuits to go with the in-room tea n coffee and plenty of shower gel, shampoo and soap. As others have said, the hotel is tired, in places, but clean. As with most hotels, there's an eco sign about towels, on the floor if you want them changed, but as with most hotels, they were changed regardless. A small niggle, but as we were only there two nights, we didn't want them changed. Yes, I would come back for a return visit.
The hotel smells damp,on entering the hotel fiurst thing you think is it need a good clean and lick of paint, the rooms are very dirty 1.Bathroom, there is deep mold all around the bath, not able to shower due to shower head holder being broken, cold tap on sink leaks, 2. Bedroom, wardrobe broken and back coming off, skirtings very dirty, under the bed has definitely not been hovered for a long time, thick dirt under it, notbthat i got much sleep but woke up with bites probably from dust mites,
3. General hotel condition floors are creeky, and uneven and very dirty and worn. It wasn't expensive but we should expect clean at least
I had a great stay at the Kintore Arms hotel, the check in was quick, friendly and uncomplicated.
The room was great and suited my needs and the facilities in the room were ok with only just the tv remote not working due to batteries being done but wasn't too worried about the tv and I am sure reception would of changed them if asked.
The dinner menu was great with plenty of choice and the steak pie I had was great with a generous portion of veg to go with it.
The meal was served in good time and the service was friendly.
The breakfast was great with plenty choice at a reasonable price for what you got.
I would definitely stay here again if staying in Inverurie.
No hot water on the first morning
Hot tap didn’t work properly
Shower didn’t drain
No offer of money off
Breakfast poor
Won’t be going back
Friendly staff, very helpful and accommodating.
Food was terrible. Bed was uncomfortable very dated hotel. Staff were nice
I’ve stayed here several times, they are very friendly and helpful.
A nice big room too.
The breakfast was really nice too.
The hotel was very nice but with a staircase and no lift. I had to ask for help to take my suitcase up two flights of stairs. The room was clean - good service. However, I was disappointed that I did not have a bath tub since the hotel seemed to advertise that the rooms had bath tubs and I chose it because I wanted some comfort before starting a care and nursing live-in job in the area. There was only a shower.
A little tired in places e.g. bathroom flooring had obviously had dampness issue previously, the key in lock was a struggle (turns out a known issue so why not already fixed?), etc.
Otherwise service etc was very good. Can't knock the value.
it was comfortable
The hotel could do with a refurb - Seats mucky and the bedrooms where the same lacking cleanliness etc
